Fortunately I have no side effects (now) but the first 2 weeks or so I'd wake up with a headache every day. It wasn't pleasant.

Hi! Im sorry. I didn’t write a thread. I just asked about the medication in this thread but I think it’s probably a few posts back. I’m new here and trying to figure out how to navigate these threads.

I’m glad you are feeling good.

Oh, potato, no problem!

Hope you are finding the site useful.

The facebook has a lot of glp1 discussion posts, people in all stages - just beginning, or almost done, and everything in between.

There are so many facets to it. For me, it is portion size. My parents never wanted to waste food, nor did they want leftovers, so they always pushed me to finish stuff up at dinner. Even though i was already full. Now i am realizing - yeah, i dont want to have half a cup of soup or beans left over either! But eating it makes me nauseated.

Hi Unaluna. Yes. I grew up not being able to move from the table until I cleaned my plate weather I was hungry or not and weather I liked the food or not. As a result I grew up hating the smell of anything home cooked and would just live off of fast food and take out. It wasn’t until recently that I started to make home made meals and found that I actually enjoy home cooked food when I’m in control of what is on my plate. I’m hoping the GLP injections quiet down the noise of still wanting devour Big Macs even though I cook a little now. I am very overweight.

It's great that you're starting to cook now LonelyCouchPotato. Give yourself some credit. That's a huge step in the right direction. Well done!

I worked out alot this morning. Besides the ab roller. I might do that later. I did crunches, squats and my weights. I'm almost ready to move up to 8 pounds in weight.

As for food. I eat what I can these days. Which is a lot of pudding and yogurt. I tried Mcdonalds new shake. It was ok

It is great you were able to overcome your aversion to home-cooked meals by taking the matter in your own hands and cooking yourself and being in control of what you cook and how much of it you eat. The next step, obviously, is to stop being a couch potato. If you can afford a little extra spend, I recommend getting a DEXA scan now to establish your baseline and then get another one 6 months later. The goal is not to lose muscle while on semaglutide. Being a couch potato exposes you to the risk of muscle loss and you want to counteract that. So weightlifting, body weight exercises, resistance training will be your friends. Semaglutide does not itself cause muscle loss, but it causes weight loss and if you are not careful about how that weight loss proceeds, it may proceed as muscle loss.

Did 11 and a half easy pace miles this morning, that took me a couple of hours, nice weather for running with a gentle sea breeze and the sun looked beautiful reflecting off the sea. I think next week will be my last long run before I taper down a couple of weeks.

Australian exercise first thing and aiming for another couple today. Other than that I’ve got some fixing work to do in the yard, so an active day ahead.

Thank you. This is a lot of good information to have going into this journey. Yes. I plan to try not to be a couch potato. I’ve just been depressed and tired lately as I’m going thru a custody battle for my child up against a narcissist. I guess that’s another thread for another day on another part of this forum but I do plan to incorporate more movement as I embark on this journey.

I am not in the mood to workout today. I did some house cleaning which the Lose It app counts as working out.

I've eaten fine today.

The biopsy showed that the new tissue is fibrocystic. I will now be monitored every six months. Blueberrybook, are you now also monitored every six months?

Thank you for the support through that time of worry for me!
