And my breasts? ffffffffffffff they got bigger too in a really ugly way! I want smaller breasts because I don't like wearing bras...ickkkk!!!!
Lol....I have felt that way all my life.....the smaller the better...& I only wear bras with certain cloths if they are tighter or see through but with dresses I just wear a full slip....I sooooo HATE bras. I remember when I was young my grandmother thought it was time I started to wear them & went out & bought me several. I hated them even then..so uncomfortable even the sports bras.

I haven't gone without a bra since I was like 12 years old. I need my ample breasts for my hourglass look. Maybe you haven't had the right fitted bras, because if they are a proper fit they shouldn't be at all uncomfortable. Nowadays lingerie is just big fun. Can't wait to get back into thongs and V-backs!

I think that's important. There shouldn't always be a reward for good behavior if the reward doesn't help you towards your goals.

I wanted a bottle of wine and instead used that money to buy ingredients for making a delicious smoothie! I was a little bummed out because the coconut milk wasn't milk at all, instead it was butter in a can! WTF!?

Also, I lost 11 pounds before I began charting...It's been officially two weeks since I began charting and in two weeks I only lost 1.2 pounds.

Would it count to start off at my highest weight 206 pounds or should I go with 195.2 (the weight I began charting)?

I'm sucking on a small chunk of easter chocolate. I'm going to savor this chocolate...not eat the whole thing in one sitting!

WTF Butter in a can??? What the heck does that mean? Coconut milk should just be a clear liquid.

Good work, anyway. Way to go. So what else went in the smoothie?

No more talk about wine. Or ask LoseitLikeLauren Lauren on YouTube how she lost 147 lbs. while drinking. I'm not gonna ask cuz I'm not drinking.

Good Luck, LL. I am going to be off Psych Central for awhile. Maybe 90 days. I'm doing a social media fast. But I will be checking back. You should be 20 something pounds lighter.

Track from where it feels comfortable. I think maybe your original weight? I mean the first weigh-in weight?

As Lauren says, Keep Losing, Keep Smiling.

I am happy you are doing smoothies. I am a smoothie maniac. I can't wait for breakfast. I am making a green smoothie with almond milk, kale, and fresh pineapple.

Doesn't matter how they fit...I hate wearing bras & have more important things to spend my money on than lingerie....I have other fun things in my life & comfort working on my farm is highest priority.

LL: strange, canned coconut milk like canned butter? What's it sweetened or unsweetened coconut milk? I usually buy it in the deli in a carton. Not sure about the canned though I did buy one once can't remember what it was like.

Personally I would start calculating from your highest weight. That amount counts as part of your weight loss IMO....& is part of your accomplishment....I might lognitnas before log started just as a point of information later but think it helps with encouragement as that amount is quite an accomplishment to kick start your logging information.

Like I said before...weeks with no loss are ok...especially around holidays. Small gain isn't critical & back on track will take care of that.

Dark chocolate is actually healthy for us & good for depression. not the milk chocolate though. Fattening, I've been using whole milk & heavy cream for baking & cooking lately...starting to see the consequences....not good but tastes soooo good....going to have to start being more careful. Several expensive imported wool skirts I had made smaller after anorexia recovery are no longer fitting even though no longer winter...that was a bad sign.

[quote=eskielover;4984188]Doesn't matter how they fit...I hate wearing bras & have more important things to spend my money on than lingerie....I have other fun things in my life & comfort working on my farm is highest priority.

I worked with horses for a few years and wearing fun lingerie didn't seem to interfere with throwing hay.

In my humble opinion, chocolate is something a dieter should stay away from. In order for chocolate to be palatable it needs to have a high amount of sugar and fat. The "benefits" of it are not really anything near that of organic fresh vegetables and fruits for someone trying to lose 90 pounds. Losing weight is a calorie game and one needs to closely look at what they are ingesting. Chocolate bars and energy bars are very high in calories and not great snacks for someone with a lot of weight to lose.

Coconut is another one of those things that is just being highly marketed.

Losing 90 pounds in a year is serious business, and requires a huge lifestyle change. Dense forms of calories should be avoided such as full fat dairy. As well, exercise is paramount because with that kind of loss there might be loose skin. The more muscle tone the better.

As well, without comfort eating, emotional pain is going to surface. If drinking is problematic is has to be addressed. As I said in an earlier post...if one is addicted to substances as rewards it needs to be addressed. Or else one will just keep compensating by for instance, smoking more cigarettes, drinking, instead of eating fattening foods...

I was trying to make light of this with lingerie jokes, but it is really a serious healing journey as is all recovery journeys from eating disorders.

Personally I think the exercise is almost more important than emphasis on what to eat or not to eat because exercise releases endorphins.

I know next to nothing about the experience of anorexia. I might have flirted with it when quite young at one point but I didn't stay at a low weight for very long, and did not have body dysmorphia.

So I have a question...Take a look at my signature. Does it make sense?

The problem I am having is that even though I am on week 2 of dieting and lost 3.8 pounds...a month ago I was 206 pounds and lost 14.6 pounds since then. The problem is I don't know the exact day I weighed myself to be 206 pounds. I know it was about a month ago. Should my signature reflect the total pounds lost and start at week 4 or should I track from the time I've been dieting (which is week 2)?

I think your signature makes sense as is. Your highest weight is interesting. Just pick a date close to what you think it was. It will be okay. Maybe just make it March 1, 2016. I think just track as best as you can to now. I think total pounds lost because even though you weren't consciously dieting you started to lose weight so something positive was happening, so why not acknowledge it?

I track by measurements, not pounds. I think it is more accurate because with water weight and hormone levels weight fluctuates.

I don't know. Are you 191 pounds now???

Pick a starting weight. Then pounds lost per week. Then present weight.

So,

March 1, 2016 - 206
Pounds lost this week: whatever it is
Present weight - 191 and whatever

So you need a weigh in day once a week, then you would have to change your signature. Most people I follow on YouTube weigh-in on Sunday night and report pounds lost and present weight on Monday. It is mainly for you because from week to week other people don't really care that much. People are more interested in general numbers...like how much did you lose in six months or a year. Just my opinion.

Good luck!

I really do hope you continue to use PC during your social-media hiatus. I really appreciate your support and knowing that there are people out there in my same situation with the same goals.

Plus...PC is not social-media...it's a support group!

Thanks. You are sweet, LL. I am really trying a 90 day social media fast. I am worried that I have let go of most social contacts in real life. In my community it is really hard. One has to make a big effort to connect. I would rather stay on social media sites, but at the same time I need real life contacts to make more money, find a better place to live, friends to do things with on weekends. So I have to kind of force myself.

Good luck with the diet. I am really disgusted with where I am physically. I want to lose about 40 to 45 pounds in 90 days. That's a lot but do-able. But it means a lot of attention to exercise every single day. I am also meditating twice a day.

I hope you can reduce your drinking. When I am stressed out I think about drinking a lot but I am being really strong right now in not going that route.

Just remember you have to start rewarding yourself with things that are not substances. You are such a good writer I wonder if you journal. You have a lot of interests. Follow them. And go easy on yourself.

I really hope you check out LoseItLikeLauren on YouTube. It is something to do when you feel restless, or bored, and she is inspiring.

Love and best wishes. I will be back. Dechan

You are right that PC is a support group. But where are the real life people in my community??? I used to have a lot of support and now I somehow got disconnected. I need real life people. I don't live near family so having a few good friends and groups to go to is really important. I may try to find a real life weight loss group. Not Weight Watchers but something like Overeater's Anonymous or something like that.

I am proud of you for starting your weight loss journey. By this summer you will be well on your way and your are going to feel great about yourself. Stay strong. Keep losing, keep smiling!

Today I had a very yummy smoothie for breakfast and lunch. I mixed in a can of vanilla protein shake with 35g of protein. It was better than I thought it'd be. I had a banana, strawberries, and frozen fruit. Mmmmm. I didn't feel like having a full meal, it was already late when I made myself the smoothie and it was late enough where it could be lunch and not so sure what/how to eat so I went with a smoothie.

I had a very good workout today. 30 min treadmill, 5 min peddler, set of 100 ab and hip machines. I feel like going back after all that!

I had a yogurt, banana, oatmeal and milk.

YUM!

I think breakfast for dinner is the best.

Dieting is the fastest way to gain weight and feel deprived on so many levels... which leads to falling off the diet wagon.

Lifestyle changes are far more helpful and has long lasting health benefits.

Good luck

I was going to warn you about putting the cart before the horse with that reward subject but... 14lb in 4 weeks is great. To follow up on Moreta's post... you will need to think of this as life, the way it is from now on. Goals are great for measuring progress but it can't end there. Weight loss programs tend to be very short lived and frequently lead to a seesaw of gain and diet, gain and diet. Try to think of it more as healthy living.

Don't forget to set small incremental goals and reward yourself as you reach them.

I don't consider this a diet at all. I say diet lightly, but I consider this to be a "weight loss program" which is hardly that either. I don't give up food. I am making lifestyle changes, as you put it, but I do not deprive myself of unhealthy food. I just make a choice to eat them in small portions. With 14.6 pounds lost I've drank two bottles of alcohol (and gained weight, but lost it within two days), eaten chocolate and sourdough bread, ice cream, etc. Aside from the alcohol, which I did go overboard with, foods that are deemed unhealthy I eat in small portions without necessarily avoiding or cutting them out completely. I ate two small ribs and a medium sized rib with hunks of meat on them, but before that I made sure I ate a few scoops of coleslaw and a half cup of beans before I ate the ribs.

In short (too late), yes, this is not a diet but a lifestyle change.

That's the plan! I have goals within goals. I have goals to eat 2 salads every day, one small and one big, and another goal to eat veggies alongside my salads, and my goal is to eat enough fruit as well with a strong focus on veggies, because before the diet I ate very little of it. I also try to change things up to not get bored. I make variations in my salads, I eat different veggies, as a treat I like to eat breakfast for dinner.

I also make an effort to go to the gym on a regular basis, and I have my own goals for that too, such as adding 5 minutes on the treadmill each week.

I'm very proud of myself today for my success at the gym, which was pushing forward when I felt like quitting. I have a love-hate relationship with the treadmill. Somedays I can do 20+ minutes no problem, but today after only ten minutes I hopped off with the excuse of being thirsty. I bought a caffeinated water bottle, went outside and smoked, and after much debate with myself I hopped back on the treadmill and finished strong.
