Muffy ,,

In the past couple weeks ,, it seems the except as is ,, and time is carefully metted out for shared thoughts and quiet reflection.

This is what I have found ; ,,,,, a different kind of patience >> but not overly [ as some call it ] " under foot ".
Also .
It has allowed for a sometimes strained { but deep } Careing place to emerge from within myself .>>>. a more founded ability to choose words and not be afraid ,, but honest .

Thank You Muffy .

Well,,,had a Doc appointment yesterday ,, got refills for sleep and anx pills >>>.also some Painmeds now for headaches.

I mentioned to the Doc ,, that we had lost a cat of ours unexpectedly ,, and that we usually wait six months before we think about giving another pet a good life and home ...

I told the Doc ,, I bent the rule and brought a older kitten home from my visit to Friends in Georgia ,,, He told me " That was a good rule to bend ".

So a PT scan Friday and MRI Monday ,,,, and go from there .

Although I did tell him I have started to go with the thought that tomorrow will come ,, and She will be there to see it also ,,, .

I am keeping you and all that is yours is my heart and positive thoughts... for the very best outcome.

Did you know that thoughts with powerful good intentions have a positive effect on people who are receptive to them?

There is a book about this research by Dr. Dossey, a best-seller, regarding Prayer (could be meditation or thoughts, mantras etc.,) and it's healing power.

This is why I embrace 'qi gong' (not that crazy stuff, but the gentle movements that continue to be utilized by cancer patients worldwide for it's healing effects).

It is an exercise, actually, extracted from the marshall art, not the art itself, but the healing aspect.

Movements we make can create an energy inside the body, that in turn, creates our very own much needed medicine, which is healing to our individual needs inside of ourselves. This is in addition to western medical assistance, not without or used against it.

The best that we find in the fight against cancer with other complimentary and western medicines do indeed help us improve our quality of life ~ and if we remain open, we can learn some new things to help us on our own individual paths.

I hope I can always use this as a physical healing aide, along with other things I am opening up to learn ~

This can be done mentally (if necessary) in a sitting or lying position, or physically. There are many interesting, rejuvenating steps and postures, various positions... all worthy of a try. Donna may find these helpful to improve her day, and you might find them strengthening to add to your stress reduction.

I'm posting a not so great - but acceptable utube example of how to do an exercise of 'qi gong' sitting down

(youtube does not have quality qi gong videos, sorry, it's confusing to say the least, and the only place to learn correctly is from a certified, qualified instructor.
tai chi & qi gong videos are free on youtube, so we deal, realizing accuracy, correctness and intention may be way-off, so for real life practice, seek experts in this field, as the increase in qi gong as a cancer tool is spreading rapidly in america.)

Anyway, Dear wmd, you are loved, and a Dear Friend.

I am sending positive thoughts your way, for you, for Donna, for healing, for your peace, for the desires in your hearts coming to pass, and many, many painless and carefree days ahead.

With love and support,
night
xoxo

((( WMD ))) I just read through this entire thread. I'm so sorry I haven't posted anything until now. I'm going through breast cancer with my grandmother right now. It's hard. I wish I had some great advice or even knew what to say at all. Recently dealing with cancer myself and now watching my grandmother go through it... well, I just have no words. Just know I care about you and I'm here for you. Big hugs to you and Donna.

We learned that family members wanted prognostic information in order to know whether they needed to begin to prepare for the chance that their loved one might die, and so begin the bereavement process," lead author Dr. Douglas White, an assistant professor in UCSF's division of pulmonary and critical care medicine, said in an American Thoracic Society news release. "I think one of the strongest messages that comes from this study is that family members want to have this discussion with the physician, and want to have the opportunity to take care of unfinished personal and familial business before their loved one dies. They need that chance to say their goodbyes, in case the patient does die."

Pulled this excerpt from Newsbot forum ..

After todays results of PT scan and MRI ,,, I have to agree that this is the right approach ,, at least to have some idea of time .. so to speak .

I think if at all possible it is good to have some kind of time frame for those reasons. people need to say things and do things. to make amends if needed. no one wants to be left thinking there should have been more time to say those things. family needs time to come to grips with it. so does the patient. make every day count. quality time. nothing to be sorry for later.
