Well ,, She has good color in her face again and not so sunken features ,, Got to learn a thing or two about the word NO >>> Applies to all things that are really not good for ya. LOL.

And has follow -up interview at local Mental Health Facility.

So far so good ,,, except when I tell her to eat and she says ,, she not hungry,, and I tell her not the point >>>>> Putting weight on is .

And then I said ,,,"You want to go back ?" >>>> She said hush ,,,, and then ate an apple pastry thing at 540 calories <<< >>> . and 150 Fat calories . Not filling ,,,,, Just fattening .

((((( wmd ))))) So sorry to hear that Donna is struggling. Cancer treatments take a lot of of a person. Your both in my thoughts and prayers. I lost my Dad to brain cancer and my Aunt as well. It is a hard road to walk. Wish I could do more to help, other then just letting you know how much I care.

But I never could imagine a Best Friend to not do as I have done for someone they know all to well ,, and have grown up with ,,,, This just comes Natural ,, Although it pains me to the EXTREMES Of my Heart.

Now when she went to de-tox she was 76 lbs.

. After some 12 days or 13 >> She ,, up to 90 lbs. !!! .

And she been home all but the first 5 days of that .... .

I am one Fine Motivater ,,, .

Her normal weight as long as I have known her has been around 120 lbs at 5' 10" --- 5' 9".

So ,, on the 26 of this month surgery is scheduled .

Doc Surgeon ,, was only going to do a radical on one side ..>> Breast tissue and lymph nodes in surrounding area .<<..Removal .

Donna was ,," Oh No " ,,, You going to do both !!! At same time .. She not want to 1 year or more or less .,,, Wanting to do this again .

Good thing she starts out patient treatment program this Wednesday for the alcohol dependance thing and denial issuses ,, along with the eeerrrrrrrrmmm Depression ? ,,, So she will have better chance of not slipping ,, >>> ,,,The first time she looks in the mirror after surgery ,,, .

Naturally ,, SHE is a bit Scared . .

She hit 3960 calories by the time she went to bed last night.

I tried to get her to eat 1 more chocolate chip cookie >> x - large variety !!

{ Now the cal. counts are from what the package they come in says ,, although meat portions are hard to judge ,,, so I give her my best quess as a between this and that number . }

Like many others I have never had cancer strike so close, as to see and/or understand what it is a person with it has to feel and endure day to day .

There are also the family and friends ,,, with all the good intentions ........So after re - reading this thread from time to time ,,,, in order to re-focus and re live the feelings from the ATM ,, I see where we as the Loved ones around the person dealing directly with this thing { cancer } ,,,Have our own choices that we to must make .

We can be content with the fact that some choose to for go treatment and pass as painlessly as possble . And that maybe they even ,,, are not sure what direction to take in this almost certainly >> Uphill << battle . It was at that moment I found myself at my most hopeless point .

But a choice had to be made for myself and the one I care for and have known for so long . Donna had up until this all began ,, been strong ,, happy ,, and careing to others in many ways . If not just her way of giving a hug to a co-worker or long time customer ,, And also her ability to feel sorrow for another at fragile times .

I got busy ...

I have lost 2 close family members to cancer, and my dad had cancer 2 years ago. I was really worried about him, but then he beat it and it hasn't come back since. So I know how you are feeling. Just hold your head high and everything will be alright.

((((WMD)))) You are an amazing person and so so strong. My mom just passed one week ago and went thru phases of eating and not eating. She would eat the entire fridge the days she would get her fluids. She would have bursts of energy. Mostly she would eat Taco Bell bean burritos and she loved those Dibs Ice cream, so we made sure she had plenty of both of those whenever she wanted them. I know how tough it is to care for someone in such a vulnerable state. It is so hard. My mom was very stubborn and if she wanted to sleep, we let her. If she wanted to not eat, that was ok.
I am so happy that you are able to be there for Donna. I hope you are taking time for yourself, too. I would feel guilty taking time for myself, but I don't think I would have been able to be as strong if I didn't.

I have sobbed.....alot. Now I am sick, literally. I have something like Strep throat, but not strep. I think the stress has gotten me! Thanks for the offer of being there. I may just take you up on that one day.

WMD has learned that double /// radical /// No better chance of non'reaccurance ..... Compared to tissue saving lumpectomy whereas lymphnodes can be took care of also .

Now I quess these docs can squeeze in a couple lymph node biopsy's can be done and A plastic surgeon consult can be done prior to surgery ... Surgeon Doc and Plastic re con Doc can consult >>> apparently a peep can have own body tissue used in reconstruction more easily if lumpectomy is choosen ,,, And since her tumor took to the treatment well ,,,, errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmm >>> As I said ,,, WMD needs to give Donna more options to think of .

Most women do say " Take it all so I never worry again " /.

But that is no quarentee,,, if it is in lymph nodes it is in blood stream and maybe elsewhere.

So why go wild when you may just be setting yourself up for more deppression from major disfigurement when Why not keep what ya have like and Give radiation a chance >>> .... But this is not ME that it is being done to ... >>.. But I best Let Donna be more informed than she is ATM .

WMD I know this is all too much info for you to take in at one time, but here is what happened to my mom. Her cancer started in her Cervix and she had all of her internal "female parts" removed. They did tons of chemo over about 8 years and in the last few years it ended up in her lymph nodes. They told her that she shouldn't have to worry.....but she did later. Anyway, because the cancer had gotten into her lymph nodes they refused to take her breasts because they would never heal properly due to the lymph nodes being damaged and blood not flowing. Her breasts ended up feeling like rocks, they were purple and excruciatingly painful for my mom. There were no pain meds that would take away the pain she felt every day.
I only tell you this to give you one perspective. I don't know about what Donna wants or what the cancer is doing to her right now, but I just wanted to give you a bit of insight.
I think you are right that Donna needs to know more about what she is facing and what options she has.

Yea onlymedid ,,,, There are a couple things that seem to go hand in hand >>> once in lymph nodes it is a progression and up to each peep to decide as to the [ true ] lesser of the evils as to comfort and happiness that can be obtained for rest of Life place .

I already brought up the topic with Donna ,,,, and she was >>> ???????? . So I actually do the logical stuff and open all doors as to look here ,,, and here ,,,, and here ,,, .

Have more awareness as to ok ? .... And I believe there are better ways to approach ... At least discuss with Docs'. .
