Hello Everyone.

Hugs and love to you all.

I'm taking a shower, eating some oatmeal and getting out of the house today for a couple hours. Its going to be about 58 degrees here. A little warmer than the past 2 days.

Granite..its nice that you are trying to make your husband happy but I wish he would also understand your limits. I think people who perhaps don't have a lot of anxiety and are able to live more in the moment don't totally understand what it is like for someone who suffers from a lot of anxiety. It can be debilitating. Hugs hugs hugs.

Today I am just going to head to a mall and look around and TRY to get myself the Holiday spirit. We will see how that works.

Good morning Granite, Wiki, Apt, Jersey, Ike, CE, and anyone else I missed. (Guess I should use the two tabs open method!)
Lola and Chopin - I hope you two are sleeping!

All that is creepy.
Ugh. I hope I never see that show.

Apt- I get the SAD feelings too. On top of less sun, we've had cloudy/rainy weather for the last three days and likely for the rest of the weekend and into next week. I feel like I am living in Seattle. I just finished 10 minutes of light therapy. It helps a little. I just have to be careful to only use small doses - too long in front of the light can send me into mania.

Wiki - that sounds like a great recipe. I am going to try it out as soon as I can get to the store for ginger. I love natural remedies.

Granite - hope you have a good time crafting.

I started shopping. I like to be done before Thanksgiving. I should really make a list of who needs what. I'd like to make some of the gifts this year.

It's Shop Local Weekend in our downtown so I may go find a few more things for friends. And the cookware company here is having a huge warehouse sale one town over. Going to see if I can score a huge bowl for making bread. It's a commercial cookware company so it's all high-end restaurant grade stuff. Might get a few gifts there too.

Good morning all.. Looks like I missed a good late night party on the couch last night, lol.

I have started Christmas shopping.. most of my kid's presents are done, I won't finish the rest until after Thanksgiving.. that is when we decide who we are buying for in our families.

LOL, Apt... Good luck with that, I don't know about where you are, but when we already have Christmas commercials, decorations at stores, etc going on here. I wish they would wait a little longer to do all that stuff.

Our mall here in NJ was decorated for Christmas 2 weeks ago and Santa will be there in another week. They usually set him up a week before Thanksgiving. It has to be confusing as heck to kids. They see him arrive during the Thanksgiving day parade and yet they set him up in the mall a week before that. lol

Nope, but I'm glad you find it amusing
I have no TV so have no idea about commercials, but apart from a few Advent stars in hardware stores (and those go up on Dec 1) I haven't seen anything Xmassy yet.
I'm in Sweden.

We only buy for kids. Not adults. Because we have 9 children in our family to buy for. 9 SMALL children.

Apt, Frau T taught me all about the pineal gland. It's on your forehead. When you are in the sun, it stores up vitamin d and melatonin. Then when it's dark it pumps melatonin into your system causing you to become sleepy. It only works correctly if you get an hour of exposed sunlight on your forehead each day. You can't have sunscreen or bangs in the way. It also manages mood and energy, it does a lot for a tiny little gland. I use melatonin supplements to help sleep, and I have been really working on the sunlight too...but I got to thinking. What if I rubbed vitamin d ointment into my forehead each day? What if I added a little vitamin c to that?

Study to be continued.....

Looks like I missed the couch party too. Took Benedryll to help me sleep and it worked from 12:30 -3 lol and then I read off and on for the rest of the night. Never thought to drop by the couch to see who was awake.
They do say though that computer and tv interfere with sleep- the light or something- so it's just as well I suppose.
