Hey all..
T question of the week (because I live vicariously thru you all) Although, I may in fact be home before my appointment on thurs.

Worry lines...does he/she have them? Lines on forehead, line between eyebrows...you know what I mean.

I like questions that make you sneak a peek at their face, but if it's totally impossible I understand. In that case...are there scuffs on their shoes (or slippers in Apt's case)

I already know this answer. No, my T doesn't have them..and she wears all her clothes and 1000 pairs of shoes looking like new, so I know there wont be scuff marks.

I had to look up what worry lines were. You mean the weird little forehead creases that are like multiple lines horizontally? And the ones that give a real defined eyebrow glare? I don't know these things naturally

((((MUE))))...I'm sorry a migraine has put you in such pain. I hope it goes away soon.

((((Granite))))...Your mother makes me want to march up there and give her a stern lecture. You are not responsible for her transportation issues. Please don't let her manipulate you into buying her a car.

((((Apt))))...I would miss you if you went away. I'm glad you are still here.

((((Healed))))...I'm sorry you've been diagnosed with asthma. I have it too. Singulair is a great med. It has essentially made my symptoms disappear.

((((Lola))))...Get your butt to T tomorrow, or I'll have to drive down to Texas and drag you there. Google Maps says in current traffic, it would take me 18 hours and 24 minutes to get there. I'm sorry the holidays have you down.

((((Wiki))))...Good to see you and it's nice to hear what you said. Old PC-er's have gotten better and so will we. I have faith in that. I have faith that you will survive your fight also. Always in my prayers.

((((Jersey))))...I hate that people do not understand how valuable quality child care is. When I worked at a preschool 15 years ago, it cost $550 a month per child. When my godkids were in daycare, it was $175 a week. I know the cost of living where you are is much higher, so you should be paid a LOT more.

((((Focus))))...Thanks. I thought about cutting the dose, but what I plan to do this evening is take it very early and go to sleep very early. I have to be at work by 10:00 to discuss all the changes within the management team. Just the thought makes my stomach turn in knots.

((((Sally))))...Glad you're feeling better!

((((Sconnie))))...Sounds like you did great! I know that was a difficult phone call!

((((RR))))...I like the Muppets too. I was recently watching some of the really early episodes of SNL where they had a Muppet skit every show.

((((Pbutton))))...That's excellent advice! You have a very good T.

((((MKAC))))...I'm sorry your mother is that way. I can relate; although since she has been taking Prozac, much of that behavior has gone away. My T (having suffered from depression herself for many years) told me that depression has a tendency to make one selfish.

((((Sila))))....I'm glad you're home. I totally relate to your BF's lack of advice. My H is similar. He never knows what to do to help me. I always have to tell him...and that's after years of therapy for me to know what to do myself.

((((Hankster))))...I could hear Letterman saying it too: "But there's bears!!!

To everyone else...((((Murray)))), ((((Trdle)))), ((((CE)))), ((((Ike)))), ((((Nightlight)))), ((((RTS)))), Stopdog...a nod and a wave...I hope you are all doing well.

Wiki, I can tell you now that T has worry lines on her forehead simply due to age; she's almost 56. I also know her shoes most likely have scuffs because she never seems to buy new shoes. She's wearing the same ones she had last winter so far.

I've never been diagnosed as autistic or Aspberger's (except a former psychologist at work told me she thought I was Aspberger's...then again, she saw everyone being on the spectrum), but I am pretty literal too. So much so that my boss has told me I need to learn not to take what everyone says at face value (I tend to), because much of it is hyperbole.

I'm still trying to figure out how to do that.

Aspergers*

But yeah, it's a running joke between my bf and I now. He'll try to tell a joke and I'll look at him like he's crazy. Or i'll react negatively because he said something rude, but it was a joke and I didn't notice it. So he'll tell me to not take things so seriously and to lighten up. I'm like, you're telling an aspie to not take things seriously? Good luck!

I know I don't have Asperger's, I'm just rather literal in the sense of taking what others say at face value when they're just kvetching about something (I react like, "OMG, this is serious, we must do something about this," when no action is needed.

When I told T that a former consulting PhD level psychologist at work said that my H and I were likely Asperger's, she laughed her butt off. Having met us both, she said there is no way either one of us has that diagnosis.

Our office manager is also rather literal. She asked me not too long ago, "Why is it SO hard for other people to take what I say at face value?" I simply said, "I know, right?"

Probably so! My T is very into fashion. I don't think I've ever seen her wear the same thing twice and I'm pretty sure she owns at least 200 pairs of the most unique hot shoes and boots I have ever seen. She looks a lot like Angelia Jolie does in this close up pic: But my T is older.
