I think I used to wonder when my Mr O'day in the travel van was going to come and wisk me away. I used to have little girl crushes on grown men... Remember the TV show Marcus Welby MD... my sister's thought Dr Kiley (James Brolin) was so cute...but I loved Dr Welby...

The Computer wore Tennis Shoes? really, I don't remember that ...I'm going to have to google that one.

Kurt Russell was in it.. I never saw that one ...

The Fox and the Hound... many good lessons in that movie..

Joining the egg conversation a little late...

A neat way to separate eggs, if you don't mind washing a plastic water bottle:

Egg yolks are FULL of cholesterol, yo. Like many things that get easily labeled as evil, they're fine for your average person with balanced diet (I love eggs, and my fasting LDL is actually rather low), but if you need to cut cholesterol for health reasons, taking out the yolks is such an easy way to do it. With something that easy, I'd avoid going against the doctor's suggestion. I have heard of, but never tried, using them as a hair treatment.

With egg yolks - it appears you can make a facial mask, use on hair or mix with pigment to make tempera paint.
Thanks for this!

Thanks for asking. It is going well. I filled in all of January and part of February. I decided to do bits at a time for now. T and I discussed it last session. I like looking at it each day. Today's note was "Find joy in serving others" because I was working tonight. And I did find joy in it

I forgot you could make paint from egg yolks! That's kind of cool, maybe I will try it... my H is averse to egg yolks, not because he needs to be, but because he is hyper-alert about cholesterol and saturated fat. I humor him and give him his whites, but that does mean leftover yolks. Hmmm....

My 3 yo nephew loves this movie. We watch it all the time. But sometimes when the kitty is stuck in the box on the river I get a bit teary eyed.

Lady and the Tramp!!! The two cutest dogs ever!!! Oh I just realized why my cousin named her dog Lady! I'm a little slow sometimes? And somebody here had the Tramp avatar. So sweet.. I also love Ella Enchanted. I'm a big fan of Lucy Punch. And musicals. And Milo and Otis!!

I loved Wizard of Oz and Sound of Music. I wasn't much a Disney fan, but I did memorize the songs for Aladdin just to annoy my little sister. And believe it or not one of my childhood movies was the 10 Commandments - because it was on until almost 11pm and that was the only time I was allowed to stay up that late.

It's super windy here tonight. I was getting blown into the other lane driving home from work. (I drive a small car.) I am glad to be home safe and sound.

I remember. Consuela was his nurse. James Brolin as the young Dr.

Son of Flubber was another Disney movie from my youth. And I confess, I misremembered Fox and the Hound. I could have sworn I saw it when I was a kid, but it didn't come out until 1981. I watched it so many times with my daughter in the 2000's, I thought it was from my childhood.

I do remember Marcus Welby from when I was little. I did not like him (I have always disliked mds), but my mother watched it each week.

I remember him (and the guy on medical center) giving people "orders" and tricking/bullying them into doing what he wanted them to do, and acting like he knew what was best. I can see where he could appear kind, I just always hated people trying to make decisions for me/my best interest etc that I did not like and the idea they could still do it even with adults always unsettled me. Two of the bigger conflicts with my parents about tv (as opposed to other things) was once when I was in support of the "hippies" and not the cops during some show (I got in trouble for not being on the side of the abusive authority figures on television) (pre-curser to being a public defender) and another time during a medical show when I wanted them to let someone who wanted to die do so (the mds wheedled, tricked, threatened and drugged the guy until he acquiesced to some treatment he had objected to earlier (I was between 8-11 yrs old at the time and I cannot remember what either show or if they were movies on tv - names or were otherwise about)(I do remember them being quite unglued at me)
Welby and Medical Center came on later at night and when they first came on, were past my bedtime.
