The problem is we have a bunch of files and office furniture in the old office that will not fit in the new office. If we don't it sold or given away, and if I don't clear a place in the garage for it, it will end up in my barn.

Ah. I have boxes of files too. Stupid rules about how long we have to keep them. Is there a reason to keep the furniture rather than sell it? Not that you have to tell me, but I thought, and I could be misremembering, that you did not want any more stuff brought to your house.

I do not want to bring it to the house, you're entirely right. However, I am not sure we can get it sold or given away before the lease is up and I don't want to spend another month's rent to keep it here. I took pictures just a few minutes ago and am getting ready to email them to an office supply place that may buy the used furniture. Or I can post some stuff on free cycle.

Paying rent to store stuff would suck. I hope you can get rid of it easily.

I just made some oatmeal baked custard with steel cut oats, skim milk, cinnamon, vanilla, eggs, walnuts and some brown sugar. It is quite good. Not as rich as the barley custard I made (which I used up some cream in) but tasty. I mixed in some cocoa nibs, chia seeds and plain kefir in my portion after it was cooked. I added too much sugar for me (1/2 c for 2 cups of oatmeal and 2 C of milk) so now I know to try 1/4 C next time.

so 2 c milk, 2 cups oatmeal and 1/4 sugar? How many eggs? Did you just throw it all in the slow cooker or use the stovetop?

I used 3 eggs,, 2 C milk, 1/2 C brown sugar (which I personally found too sweet) 1 C chopped walnuts (more or less), 1.5 teas vanilla, .5 teas. salt, 1.5 teas. cinn.
I used 2 C cooked oatmeal and mixed it in the uncooked milk/egg/spice mixture and baked it in custard cups in a water bath at 350 for 40 minutes or so.

Ant guy just came and went. T was happy that I finally realized that ant guy was not my mother, was not punitive and critical of my housekeeping. I was pretty calm this morning and got done what needed to be done. Go me!

My H just got a new job that he really really wanted . Which is great by itself, but even better because he hates his current job. And, he'll be changing office locations... to one a floor above me! We actually met working down the hall from each other, now we're back at the beginning.

AND I think this is my 1000th post.

Congratulations all around, Sally!

And congratulations, MKAC!

Glad you're home safe and sound, Lola.

It's been a gloomy, rainy day around here. I have to go out of town this weekend and I really don't want to. I have to do a presentation at the conference, or I'd stay home. But, I spent the morning with my best friend, which always lifts my mood!

Wow...I was at work all day, then came home and cooked supper and ate and I barely missed anything on the couch...I guess it was a slow day.

I had buffalo chicken breast, garlic/oregano/basil sliced potatoes, and white corn for dinner. All I was missing tonight was a grain. Oh well I had mac and cheese for lunch, so it's not like I went the whole day without grains.

Just trying to get directions to my inservice/workshop tomorrow. I've been to the school before for an interview when I lived at my old apartment and know where it is. I just need to find the best way to get there from my new apartment. Mapquest, here I come.

I'll pop in and out tonight. Hope everyone has a good night.

I just got home and put the kiddos to bed, RTS. I seriously have to tell somebody about the day I have and laugh about it, because otherwise I think I would cry. Nothing terrible.. just all at once.

Woke up late, 3 year old son woke up came downstairs covered his whole body and his head in his blanket and proceeded to whine, cry, refuse breakfast, clothes, etc for a good 40mins. I walked out the door without out any of our lunches, on the way to work h calls, tells me that the brakes went out on his car, I am subbing for a teacher today.. All morning long my daycare provider is texting me about how sick she thinks my son is acting, low and behold he has a fever, wants me to come pick him up, but I can't, h can't because he can't drive his car, h texts me, nothing he can do we have to pay a tow truck to get his car, pick son up, bring him to urgent care so babysitter will take him back on monday morning, turns out he has strep.. BLAH!

Nothing terrible.. just all on once. TGIF!! and today is usually T today, but the month of April my appointmens are all over the place because of scheduling confilicts.. I don't think I would have made it to an appoinment today if I did have one. Now.. I am going to kick back with chocolate, and old episodes of ER!

Wow Healed...its so rough when the kids are little... so exhausting... (this is when I'm glad my kids were 6 years apart) just to let you know...it does get easier as they get older.... strep is the worst...

You deserve a night to relax!

They closed to old couches. I won, but I wanted to set a record on the number of pages. Oh well...I finally won at something, so maybe it isn't too bad.

Still a slow day on the couch.

I'm not looking forward to next week. Trying to keep loud kids quiet for hours on end while the rest of the school takes FCAT (state testing) is not going to be fun. We can't even show a movie to keep them quiet because the acoustics suck in the school and you can hear everything that goes on next door, so that is out, since they are testing next door. The teacher had me make lots of copies today to keep the kids working all week. Not going to finish early next week...she's loading the work on. One of the packets I made was 96 pages long (48 double sided). And there was more than one packet, though the others were much smaller.

Sorry you hada bad day healed.
