Grrr. I worked all afternoon, and H just called and said he purchased a tandem kayak. We had talked about it...but I told him he should sell one of our existing floaters first. We have 4 kayaks, a dory and a cutter already. He thought the tandem would be nice because we'd be together. He's just sick of me beating him in our single kayaks...lol.

I did find my client money for the new program, so voila, I guess I can stretch money.

Wiki,

Sleep tandem, paddle solo. They call em divorce boats for a reason, though I guess that is technically just canoes. I don't have much experience with kayaks.

ha ha Ike...funny. I am thinking I'll just sit up front and let him do all the work! It's going to be weird though, cause I like to roll it and he hates getting wet. How are we going to work that one out?

Really good. I am very lucky to have such a great pdoc. I probably should thank T again for sending me to him.

OK feeling really sick after sending my T a email asking for help. I hope I haven't crossed another boundary, I was direct and asked for what I needed before my next session. I'm afraid of his response.
Here's a copy of the email Do you think it's direct and addresses my self-punishment issues.
T
We didn't discuss how to manage these emotions after the session. How do i stop them from harming me? Or me from harming me. Can we discuss this in a session before we start? This is something I've been trying to bring up over the past 2 years. I really need another way of communicating besides talking.

Good job BiP for asking for what you need! Do you think there is anything you can distract yourself with so that you are not checking your email constantly?

pbutton you really are lucky to have a great pdoc. I can only get to see junior pdocs thru local public health and they don't listen when I say I'm depressed. I can't wait til I get a job and can see a pdoc privately.

I know for a fact that he won't even look at the email until at least after 4pm today or later.

I have sandwich steak, really cheap emergency mince( i would personally grade it pet mince but the supermarket call it premium) and sausages. I think I'll get the steak out and cook cous-cous and sweet potato, because thats basically all I've got besides a loaf of bread. and tins of spaghetti

That sounds like a plan. What do you and your daughter like to do together for fun? How old is your D?

Evening couch.

Well I just spent the last hour and half cleaning out my email inbox and I am still not done. This is just the stuff that the spam filter doesn't catch and real emails I don't need anymore.

I have over 8000 emails left in my inbox. I am also setting up filters to filter some to spam that the automatic spam filter does not catch. That'll be a task for the next week or so. Can't do it all at once...too overwhelming. :-P

Well, I am just checking in. I'll try to stop back by before I go to bed. Have to work at the senior place tomorrow.

I hope everyone is having a good night (or day if you are on the other side of the world).

She's 13 and we used to enjoy lots of things together but this weekend at the advise of her T I'm going out of my comfort zone and going to the shops with her and playing cards. She's bringing her bike over and we will go riding around the botanic gardens if the weather is fine.

BiP I only have sons so going to the shops with a D sounds like fun. The bike ride sounds like a lot of fun to if the weather cooperates.

Going to the shops used to be fun, but now i suffer anxiety attacks and walk around in a permanent state of fear that I'm going to be attacked.
