I know Hun... Wish I could say more to help but here are some jumbo sized hugs

I really hope one of the new T's works for you.

Just remember you are doing the right thing for you... You are taking care of yourself. It is terrifying but hopefully on the other side of the terror there is help waiting.

I had a similar experience with a T I just couldn't talk to. Years later I am doing much better with one who asks the right questions and encourages me to talk. I am almost never tongue tied now.

Ah yes, I remember playing with something similar, can't remember what was on the end... definitely not a lemon, LOL

Good luck with your search, granite. Are you finding any art T's to try? I think your T cares a lot about you, but the fit that you need isn't there. You have progressed so much that if you do see someone else, it won't be like starting over. I hope you find someone who lets you email, draw, and who responds to you in the way you need. I wish you lived near me. I think my T would be perfect!

I need to at least be remembered
I just want to reiterate that this failure of memory (or whatever it was) is NOT YOUR FAULT. Your T effed up, and who knows why.

No, no no you are not disgusting. I am so sorry this triggered all those awful feelings from your childhood.

I think it is hard for the insurance company to keep up on individual therapists and if/when there practices are full You are so brave, because I have one foot and mostly two out of therapy, and I don't think I could be so brave to try another one.

Keep posting here, you are doing SO WONDERFUL.

I had one when I was a kid. It had a solid plastic ring to put around your ankle, then the plastic "rope" attached to a sort of bell-shaped piece of plastic. It hurt like a ***** when I messed up and it hit my ankle! But it was still fun.

The lemon thing I had as a kid was pink plastic everything with a counter on the end that counted how many times you were able to hop over it. If I am remembering correctly...I think the one I had was called a "Skip-It"

Madame T says it is SO disrespectful to terminate by email.
But who cares what she thinks?

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((granite)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I did not have a skip-it.

I did it today. I confessed the biggest, darkest, secret-est thing to T. She handled it (and me) really well. I'm right proud of her.

I understand now why T said that as a T, you can only take someone as far as you have been yourself. I really get it.

Granite,

I know I'm a bit late but I just wanted to say I'm sorry you're going through all of this and I really hope you'll find a therapist who can give you what you need. It's great that you're being so brave. We're here for you. Hang in there, ok?

I don't want to be all doom and gloom Tuesday you helped me also .it hasn't been bad .if I was not so resistant and difficult to deal with maybe things would have worked.i guess I gust don't have any idea how the heck to do therapy . I hope one of these new people can help me figure that out. you did one amazing thing though. you have made it easier when I was seeing you to say no to the mother . that was not easy and with your help I have done it a few time .maybe even more .

if you read this thank you and ill see you tuesday
Really good letter, granite. Or email. Very articulate. Im glad to see it. That you composed your thoughts so well. You may be a visual artist, but your writing is also outstanding. No wasted words.
Thanks for this!
