I don't have the stomach for the insect variety. Fascinating, and I love biology, but …pass

Ahhh! just tried to log in as Biologicalartist.
I know wetas aren't poisonous but they do grow as big as small ponies and can take your leg off? At least that's what a Maori friend said. (Must have thought "dumb white woman") Seriuosly they can give a nasty bite can't they?
Thanks for this!

Anything that can bite through a carrot can bite through a finger.

So far I have managed to get beds, mattresses, couch, bedside tables and crockery from the Salvos, other charities are getting me wardrobes and dining setting. However, nobody can get me a fridge, washing machine or microwave. I still have 2 other options but I move in on Friday and time is ticking.

Oh, beautiful! Thank you for sharing this. I just woke up from a series of nightmares about not making it to my T appointment this morning, and this image made me really calm and happy.

Not sure how I feel after my T appointment. It didn't go badly in any way, but I dunno. I feel flat. Maybe it's just the post-vacation thing - I was prepared for a lack of connection, but I wasn't prepared for how it would present itself. Towards the end I got this irrational fear that he was about to tell me that I couldn't come twice a week anymore (maybe because of some of the posts in the "thrice a week" thread) so to my own surprise I asked him about that, and he seemed genuinely surprised, too. No risk of him cutting down on my frequency just yet. So that is good.

Granite, maybe you could tell her about it and instead of her debating it...you could ask her to help you come up with ways to cope with being there.
Thanks for this!

I think she would say the way to cope is to not go. I would love it if she would let me send her an e-mail or call if things get bad but I don't think she will . I don't have to tell her yet .she will be on vacation next week and then I will have one more session before I leave and miss 2 sessions. I feel stupid for not being able to say no and so miserably alone because I cant talk to anyone about it because I should be able to say no

Granite, have you directly told your mother that Your own doctor said you need to cut contact? My mother / family wont listen to me, but when i say that ts have been telling me for forty frickin years to cut contact and im finally listening to them instead of doing what the mother says, they dont have much to answer back. Is it your true self pride or her pride? I have had to develop a different sense of pride. Last week i happened to remember a young cousin-in-law telling me, "i had no idea you were like this - youre pretty cool" or something like that. Because she only knew what she heard of me from older crabby family members, not the real me.
Thanks for this!
