I used to have a phone that when it rang you pressed one key and it answered that is all I want a phone to do. They switched off the old phone network and every thing is digital or something. I had to buy a phone that does everything except the washing up, I would like an app for that.

It took us forever to get my father to give up his ancient non-smart phone. It would not have mattered except the thing was literally falling apart and he had it duct taped together.

Stop, someone going after you on the forum? I am very curious, so if you felt inclined to PM me and tell me about it, that would not be unwelcome.

I made my first batch of horse cookies since breaking my wrist. I got a new rolling pin with depth guides and I'm all excited about it. I am clearly out of practice though because the bottoms of the second batch are a bit scorched.
Thanks for this!

haha i had my ancient non-smart phone taped together too!!! (eta it wasn't duct tape though, it was clear packing tape lol)

i still haven't learned how to answer my new one. every time i try i swipe the wrong way and response messages pop up or something. so i just keep the ringer off, let everything go to voice mail, and call people back lol. i don't get many calls anyway, so it's no biggie, and my family knows to not even bother calling they just text. haha maybe one day i will break down and learn how to use it.
Thanks for this!

Ugh. Me too. I know I don't usually post here, but I am struggling so much today and looking for distraction/solace/comfort/something-I don't know even know what. I am SICK of taking ativan to just get through the day and survive without wanting to rip myself apart.

Sorry. I just want to scream over so many things. LOL.

"Horse cookies" sounds like a swear. Unfortunately, i know the recipe and they are what my "health cookies" come out like. hashtag not the best baker on the block!

These particular horse cookies are not people friendly. They have sweet feed and bran and molasses that are not "food-grade."

I do make horse cookies that humans can eat also. The first time I made gingersnaps, they were for the horses. My H was a little ticked about it. Turns out he LIKES gingersnaps. I had only eaten store-bought ones so I had no idea that homemade gingersnaps are actually delicious. I thought they were just something only horses liked. LOL. I didn't even taste the ones I had made until H wanted one and was shocked they actually taste good. Maybe I should make those next.
Thanks for this!

Ginger snaps? That's the quintessential Christmas cookie! (Also gingerbread houses.)

I really love baking and do it a lot when I am trying to self soothe. I was starting to gain weight though, so I have to switch to horse cookies.

I was taken out to dinner tonight and now have to go walk my dogs. It is a nice night here and I am almost finished with my book on tape - the amount left is just about the amount for the walk.

I am reading in book form one called Dear Committee Members which is very funny. I am listening to a silly mystery called Her Royal Spyness. I listen to silly fluff when walking dogs because it does not matter if I miss parts.
