Stand up for yourself with your own thoughts....say to yourself... I cannot make anyone do or feel anything it is their choice I cannot control them...

So what, you think youre better than me? Ie that you "have" to go to therapy? (That sounds like a line from a christopher walken movie!) Plus its the people who wont go to therapy who drive us there. So we're delicate orchids, not dandelions - i dont think we need to apologize for that.

You could also write letters, Granite. I wrote myself a letter while sitting and waiting for court to start the other day. The female judge had an absolute meltdown at the attorney in the case before mine. Shouting to the point where one of the sheriff's deputies came over and was standing there. And the judge was twisting things around to blame the attorney and attack the attorney. I was soaked in sweat and my heart was pounding. I sat down and wrote a letter to myself about how that was nothing to do with me, I was safe, no one was going to hurt me, I had done nothing wrong, etc, etc. It was a little helpful, actually.

Better yet, can you run out and get some crafts stuff? Make you mother a card about how horrible she is! There is lots of Halloween stuff you could use right now!

Granite you are absolutely NOT horrible. I'm sorry you are having to deal with your mother. Don't take what the mother says or does personally...sigh...easier said than done. I hope you find some peace despite the situation.

Self care...step 1 took a shower... Applied lotion...got dressed...blew dry hair... applied makeup.. even flossed when I brushed...

Step 2 will be to make my favorite lunch as soon as I find energy to get off the sofa

I love flossing and teeth brushing - it is like it cheers up my gums and mouth or something.

so im just sitting here .she is evil the things she is saying. I hate her I hate me for just not being able to walk away .she is making me so upset .im such a failure here .I always will be . for some stupid reason I keep a hope that she will change or accept me or be human . I hate me. she is sitting here pointing out how many things she could have done to ruin my wedding . and I went to the pool and when I came back I opened my computer to get on and ther were some strange windows open. I said what the hell is this and she said I just opened it and played with the mouse pad hoping you had games on it . BULL S h !T she was trying to spy on what I was doing . she had no business on my computer at all

Remember...she is the bad person not you! Just because you are not verbally saying anything... By not letting her get to you..you are also saying a lot...same with walking away to pool. When is your flight? Can you see about moving it up?

Am I the only one that ever has the urge to post on other people's thread say you don't believe them? I have a hard time trusting people are telling the truth.. IRL and here on the boards.. anybody else ever have that urge?

There have been a couple of people I have not believed.

My iPad had an OS update a few days ago. Since then it's been nothing but a disaster. I can't find anything quickly anymore, most upsetting.

Maybe its me but i get a feeling of warmth from your last couple of posts, not the usual distance. It's probably me.

I had to come insie to use the laptop as my iPad is going wonky and I am getting frustrated with it. Plus my youngest daughter out things in the cloud and i can't work out how to get them back.
