I hear Detroit is on the mend. No consolation to those who lost their pensions, of course. The plan seems to be to save the good suburbs and knock the rest down.

Well. It's almost 6pm. I think I'm going to open a bottle of wine.

And then try to make sure I don't drink the whole thing.

I've never been given to self-medicating but I swear I'm having trouble this last week. I should probably buy box wine.

*sigh*

I started balancing my checkbook and started looking through my old checks. I realized I have canceled checks from 2007. Most of the checks were only for rent and phone. Shredding.
Thanks for this!

Just emailed the real estate about possums in the roof and other places. The noises so scared my daughter she rang her dad and slept there last night.

Is having a cheque book common in the US. Here we have mainly saving debit cards and credit cards. I haven't seen a cheque in about nearly 10 years now.

I mostly use it for rent and therapy. Some things you just need a check for.

Tell us how your chicken comes out.

I have cheques but I don't use them very often. Credit or debit is far more common and many businesses have stopped accepting cheques.

I only write two or three checks a month anymore: my mortgage (which for some reason can't be done on-line), my son's school stuff/private lessons (I refuse to send that much cash that could get lost or stolen), and my hair dresser (doesn't take credit/debit). I almost never carry cash.

Going under, y'all. Gonna be up all night prepping for a presentation tomorrow. Got 3 Starbucks doubleshot espressos chilling in the fridge to keep me going. Might pop in here every few hours just so I still feel connected to reality! This oughta be fun after only sleeping for 30 minutes last night! At least as of this time tomorrow, I'll be starting a lovely 3 day weekend with NOTHING on my plate. See ya!

I still have half a bottle of wine in the fridge from the other night, the Arbor Mist Cherry Moscato. Yes, I think that is just the ticket for the evening.

I got to spend most of the day at work today floor-walking observing people who were just trained on an update to our computer system that we use. Made for an easy day for me!! I took calls for only 2.5 hours the rest of the day walked around and looked over people's shoulders.

This will all be over in 17 hours...this will all be over in 17 hours...this will all be over in 17 hours. Presentation will be over, research will be finished, obligations will be satisfied. Then I can maybe sleep...

So, last week I asked T if he thought I would just keep coming back to this place of depression where my SI flares, and suicidal ideation gets more intense until I went back on meds. And to my surprise he said no. So, doesn't that mean that my depression is situational and therefore under my control? So, I should pick myself up by my boots strap and not deal with this crap anymore?
