A little unconventional - but I will probably try making this one

Thanks for the links to recipes SD! I love the "Pinky sticking out is optional" on the one.
I may make a batch this afternoon. I already made meat loaf and mashed potatoes earlier, so dinner's already taken care of and it's only 3:30 pm here....

Cut the sugar back is my suggestion - with 1/4 C it is a bit more like cake. I will probably just add a tablespoon or two to my next batch.

Nothing really - I just added it in to the milk part - I did use buttermilk - and I froze the butter before grating it in to the flour mix.

When I find some lard - I am going to try the last one in this article - the National Trust one (which sounds a bit closer to what BP describes)

Usually scones are sweet in my experience, unless they're brown scones made with bran.

Dogs and cats and kittens get to be in the bed with me - puppies are in their crate right next to my bed until they get old enough to be trusted to be free in the house without supervision.

If I have to stalk it, chase it, catch it, kill it, skin it, disembowel it, dismember it, clean it, filet it, or do anything to it other than unwrap the butcher paper, then I'm just going to have a salad!Couch 95: No title required

Evening, couch.

Home from CVS. No odd customer stories tonight, pretty "calm" bunch of people tonight.

Have a long shift tomorrow 4:00-midnight. I will get a dinner break though, so I won't be on my feet the whole time. Then Tues. and Wed. I am off, so I can do some laundry and hopefully clean some. Then Thursday I have a 12 hour shift 10-10. Not too bad though, not too early, not too late.

I am still waiting for next week's schedule to be posted. It is supposed to be posted 2 weeks out, but the pharm manager was still working on it today. He's been really preoccupied and kept putting it off. I'd like to know when I am working to make sure that he gave me Monday off as requested, since I have T mid-day that day. If he didn't I need to know ASAP, so I can trade a shift with a co-worker, or he can re-assign the shift to someone else. I'd like to know the following weeks schedule too, so I can make plans accordingly for other things that need to get done. He's usaully on top of it though, so I think not getting any days off in 3 weeks put a toll on him.

The 2nd daytime pharmacist we had was forced by the district office to another store to straighten out their ratings and they have not sent someone to replace her yet, so instead of working every other day, the pharm manager has been working 12 hour shifts every day for the past 3 weeks, with no break in sight. I would hate to be in that position, but I guess they can do that when you are salary and not hourly. I do feel bad for him, so I can't get too upset that the schedule isn't made yet, but I would like to know before last minute when I am working.

I should really try to clean some tonight since I am awake right now and not sleepy, but it seems like such a chore, I'd rather just sit on the internet.

I did see old T home phonenumber tonight. I was in charge of making calls to patients who had not picked up their prescriptions yet to remind them one was ready. She came up on the list. I had to call, which felt weird, but a job is a job and we no longer have a client-therapist relationship. She didn't answer, so I didn't get to talk to her. I don't remember the number I called, so all-in-all I guess everything is fine. It was just a little hard to do. I also don't remember what medication was waiting for her, so I know nothing about her private health information. I had to make about 75 calls tonight, so I guess it is normal just to not remember the specifics of one call.

I am hungry, which is weird because I had a large extra value meal from McDonald's on my way to work tonight. Hmm.. I need to go to the store too, so I have very little foor in the house. I see a bag of egg noodles on my bed, I guess that is my second dinner. :-P

Well, I better go cook my noodles before they turn into a midnight snack. I'll check back in later.
Hugs from:

Squirrel, I think you need to plan not cleaning, so that you can clean instead
And I swear eating McDonald's makes you hungrier...

Its the salt. Salt makes you hungry or thirsty, your body doesnt care which, whatever is in front of you. Then your electrolytes get unbalanced and you blow up like a balloon, but youre still a bottomless pit of hunger. Thats the other reason i dont see my family, theyre all salt suckers like on the original star trek. My mother buys six boxes of salt at a time. I buy those little office pepper and salt shakers about once a decade. t
