I shouldnt be so certain of myself - i tend to not look things up and just glean the meaning from their usage. Sorry if i steered you wrong.

You didn't. It's just not a term I've ever heard a therapist use before. This t has used the word termination so I know that they use both terms. Just curious of others opinions. Couch 95: No title required

This morning i had to write a note to ateacher saying that the guinea pigs ate my Ds homework. It was a weird experience and so unbelievable (if you dont have guinea pigs)my D left them roaming on her desk, when she came back...

Evening couch.

Well, I met my grandma at Chili's for an early dinner as an early birthday present. It went well.

I am wondering if new T read the letter I faxed her today...no call or anything...myabe she did read it and doesn't care enough to respond...maybe she put it in my file without reading it to look at next time I am in...maybe her receptionist lost it and failed to give it to her...the list could go on.

I just know if I sent old T a note like that, she'd be calling to make sure I was okay. Maybe this is another sign that I should seek out another T.
Thanks for this!

According to my phone we had a high of 109 today. It felt hotter than that... Tomorrow is supposed to be 113, Thursday and Friday 115. Argh! I hate summer!

We are in a giant swamp right now - moist and hot and buggy.

BB thanks for the link. I find a few characteristics on all the lists, and a huge amount on the powerlessness and care taking lists. More work!

Well, I called T's office (even though they are closed) and left a message asking if they received my fax this afternoon. I just want to confirm that it did in fact go through and that new T is just neglecting to act on it. If they don't call back and say whether they got it or not, I am calling pdoc's office and requesting to make an appointment with the T in his office. I'm getting more and more fed up by the minute with new T.
Thanks for this!

SM - I hope today gets better.
Therapists must hear this all the time.

At least dentists give anaesthetic.

Core beliefs can get tangled up with similar ideas like ethics and identity. That is one reason they are so difficult to change.

The tropical storm Bill I am assuming.

I'm in deep south Texas right now and it came in about 200 miles north of where I am. Oddly enough, Dallas is expecting more flooding due to Bill than the area where he actually landed.

Ah - the tropical storm - I really should watch the news more often. - It has been pouring down rain all day - I should probably check to see if there is flooding.

Did you ask her to respond before the next appointment? Also - just for thought - I often do not respond to stuff the exact same day I receive it if it does not appear to be an emergency.
I am not suggesting not to try another one - just that not receiving a call back from a fax may not mean the therapist does not care.

I don't really know where this belongs, but The Couch is my family so I'll start here.

I've put a name to my pain. If it were just me and W, I would emigrate to Queensland for the good of my mental health. No more winters, ever! But there is also D to consider. It is probable (I don't know for sure yet) that she wants to go to university in Auckland and even more probable that W won't leave her. To go to Queensland without W would be even worse.

So I feel trapped in this cold grey city and I can see no escape.
