H just put a giant metal pot of water in the microwave. WTF? He said he wanted to heat the water up and "forgot" the pot was metal. ???? It is metal. How does one forget what an object is made of when said object is IN that person's hands? Sigh. He must be rattled today as well.

I have done that before. I just didn't think about what pot I was using.

I'm sure I've said this before, but my surgeon ex-husband put metal in the microwave ALL the time. And people trusted this guy to rummage around inside them, so to speak.

At least my next ex-husband has never done that.
Thanks for this!

Apparently in my encroaching senescence, the key to driving ten hours a day is to soak in a hot tub sauna the night before.

Phew! And no TCM...again.

My main gift for my daughter and grandson is ...I buy the food...I lug the food into the abode....I put the food away...I cook the food at the appointed time...I serve the food...I pack up leftovers and watch it walk out the door...I clean up the mess.
Merry Christmas!

I hate South Park. It will kill civilization as we know it (if it hasn't already).

But I love cheesy poofs.

That probably means you're too sane. It takes a certain kind of crazy to live cooped up with other crazies for months at a time.

Star Wars hardly counts as science fiction. It's not about technology. It's space opera.

Well today was going good until tonight. I started thinking about my dad and how much I miss him and how bad my drug addiction is. My dad went through the same things with drugs, and I hope one day I'm as strong as him where I can quit. So I've been crying on and off for 2 hrs.

I also spoke to my t tonight and she gave me some coping skills for when I'm at the in laws. She also mentioned that she originally didn't want to take me on because she thought I needed more intense therapy, but my shaman changed her mind. She also said that I've exceeded expectations, so that's one good thing from today.

Actually, there was an opera version. It was even less well-received than the Christmas special.

No one really needs to know this, but someone has posted operas featuring Star Wars action figures on YouTube.
Thanks for this!

So sorry for your loss, MKAC. H and I actually had our two guinea pigs cremated and have the ashes in personalized boxes on a shelf in my closet (supplied by the vet). The one passed away young, and we were so sad that we were like, "Yes, do whatever, individual cremation, personalized wooden box, the works" when the vet gave us options. First time my H had lost a pet (not first time for me). So when the other one passed away years later, figured we should do the same for him. I miss having a pet...
