I believe you - I have had to yell at people staring at their phone because they come close to walking into my dogs.

I once won $25 on the slots in Greektown in Detroit. I spent it on a delicious Greek dinner. I haven't gambled since.

Growly - the Danger Room was like an obstacle course for the X-Men, with always-changing dangerous scenarios. You won by making it to the other side.

Maybe not a Danger Room. Maybe the unfit Olympics. But it gets us couch potatoes out walking. If I pass my chubby male counterpart at a poke stop we nod politely and plod away trying to hatch those Pokemon eggs with every step

The slot machine in las vegas were no fun - they were all electronic and not the kind with the big lever. I always thought the big levers looked fun to play with.

We need a Couch trip to Atlantic City. While some of us play slots, growly can prowl the boardwalk looking for Pokemon.

It makes me want to rewatch Desert Hearts - an early-ish lesbian film that did not end with the lesbians going back to men or killing themselves. And it has one great scene in the rain and one very funny in bed scene.

Yes, please. I'll have to split my time though, between the slots and the pokemans

What is the plural of Pokemon? Not a question that would ever have crossed my mind a month ago...

I believe it is the same--like 'deer.'

Remember the song? "Pokemon--gotta catch 'em all"

Just Pokemon. Like how the plural of Jedi is Jedi, not Jedis. Or Sith, not Siths.

I like saying Poke-Man's for some reason sometimes.

Hi couch,

Really want to stress shop online right now. But I only have $48 in my bank account so that is probably not the best idea. Yeah, been stress shopping a lot lately, not that I have much money to start with. Yet t thinks I'm doing great. I'm not so sure she's right.

Parenting pseudo-adult teens is hard. She's grown chronologically yet I find myself having to explain house rule #1 over and over again. I think I finally got through when I explained that it's not a rule to control her as a parent would, rather it's to control the safety of the home my 8 year old lives in. She said she never thought of it that way. (Imagine me rolling my eyes, because duh! I already knew that.)

Maybe next time will be a little easier. Nah. No sense giving myself false platitudes. Next time will be brutal. . .

Granite, you might try doing what I did and simply tell them politely to butt out. I a couple of aunts (by marriage) who were harassing me about how I treat my mother. I asked them if their mothers had ever chased them with a knife or threatened them with death, and unless that had happened, they did not get to talk to me at all about how I treat my mother. Neither has mentioned it to me again.

Block their numbers. (it is easy on an iphone - I found it harder on android). Sometimes, for me, I find just blocking them to be easier than getting someone to agree to do what I want.
