The cactus was claimed at the last possible moment, but the fondness and memories will live. I found out the cactus's name is Mence. I hope he comes back next year, I loved that John Cage piece and would program it again... especially now that we've made the extra contact mikes for it... maybe it could become a tradition.

I am so confused with nothing to do. Lying in bed and eating chocolate while staring at the wall right now. I slept in til 2pm, which is when I was woken up by my student ringing my doorbell. Forgot I scheduled that. The kid didn't practice but I was too out of it to give him a hard time.

M tomorrow! I have no real concerns because I worked 125 hours this week and had no time to have thoughts. I'll probably just gush about the festival. But M really likes hearing my music stories, his daughter apparently intended to go that career route on violin but changed her mind mid conservatory audition process. Smart woman.

The next project is a quartet recital this Saturday in the same concert hall... my friend was just like, "hey, want this gig?" and I said sure because I need the cash. But I just got the scores and found out who else is in the quartet, they are a HUGE EFFING DEAL and apparently this concert is a HUGE EFFING DEAL and now I'm nervous. I just thought it was a random one-time gig.

Its not that darn cactus again, izzit?

Afternoon, couch.

Well, I worked and did my phone calls at CVS from 10-12...I actually finished the calls about 11:30ish, but the lead tech asked if I wanted to stay till noon anyways since pharm manager had already authorized it and it would give me hours. So, I did.

I then called the shop where I get my hair cut to see if my girl was working, she was, I asked if she had any appointments left for today, she had an opening at 3:30. Hmmm...I then had to decide what to do for about 3 hours, since I didn't want to drive home as the haircut place is near CVS. So, I went to Best Buy and got a headset with a mic, it was the same price as a standalone mic and looked nicer. I tested it a few minutes ago. No drive humming and no obvious background noise. Yay!

After Best Buy, I still had time to kill, so I went to Denny's for lunch. My poor waitress was having a bad day. I felt sorry for her. She tripped carrying food to another table and spilled the tray on a different table and their food. The people it spilled on got extremely upset and said their food was ruined. The waitress apologized and offered to have the cook make them fresh plates, they refused and said that they wanted to speak to the manager. The waitress goes to get the manager and the people look at each other say, "F--K this joint" and walk out before talking to the manager. The poor waitress...the manager told her that since she did not get him before the people left, she was responsible for paying the table's bill. That sucks! The people were just to impatient to wait for the manager. Then she brings my food out and tells me that she knows she put it in correctly but the kitchen made it wrong, so here was some of it and they were redoing the rest. It happens, the kitchen makes mistakes and she did catch it before she brought it to the table, so I just shrugged it off. Poor girl. I felt bad she had to pay for the walkout people, so I left a little larger tip than normal to try to help out with that. It was a table of 6 people, so I imagine the bill was quite high.

After Denny's I still had time to kill, so I went across the street to the Walmart in that area to see if they had scrubs in my size, since the Walmart near where I live didn't really have any that fit me. This Walmart did, so I bought 2 pair, so I don't have to wash my CVS ones so much. I got the same color, so I will look in uniform...I just won't have the little white heart on my top the days I wear the Walmart ones. Pharm manager won't care though...other techs do it too. CVS only gives us 2 pair and if we work 4 days in a row, that poses a problem. Lol.

I still had time to kill after that, so I went back to CVS as a shopper and bought some Vanilla Cokes that were on sale. I still have to unload them from my car, but I should be stocked for a while now. And I got $10 rewards bucks from buying them, so I have $10 to spend on something else in the store later. Ploy to bring people back. Lol.

I am home now and about to do a couple discussion posts for the day, then I will get started on my transcript for the digital collaboration thing for my class.

We have an apt this morning with the govt health service centre we introduced ourselves last week but couldn't get my D out of the car. She seemed OK.

Guys I'm really excited...H and I are actively TTC, and I'm on this whole course of meds to hopefully get us there. Medication #1 worked, so I'll start medication #2 on Tuesday.
