I totally ended up sharing with my T that I have "some platonic love feelings" for him. He took it quite well, much better than I'd have expected from him. I feel a great weight has been lifted from my shoulders. (I'm sure I'll be freaking out later...)

It's better now. Just sore and annoying, but not as bad as yesterday, and not bad enough to take anything for it.

That's great! Big step. Don't freak out. There's nothing to worry about, he took it well and it's platonic. That's SUPER common.... you did nothing wrong Hope you can have a fun time this weekend

It's almost the weekend! 1/2 an hour left of work. I'm going to go visit Grandpa in the hospital and I have book club, and I have some yard work to attend to, but still the sense that freedom is so close....delicious. Kit.

Actually the first half of today went really fast. Meetings, paperwork, purchasing. The second half of the day has crawled by. But my folders are nearly empty and my desk is clear. There's the glass half full. Kit

Thanks, Art. Yeah, I cursed a few times trying to get it out! And I was like “I vowed to never tell you this.” But...he seemed OK. Seemed to think it made sense for me at this point in relationship. And now I don’t have to keep worrying about him figuring it out...

I wouldn't curse, I would just start crying whenever I tried to tell L about my feelings for her and couldn't ever do it. I guess she finally got tired of waiting for me to tell her so she told me what she already knew in June. Heh. Glad that particular cat is outta the bag, though. It does make it easier to talk about everything ELSE under the sun once it's out there....

aaaggghhh! i am so bored waiting to go play!!

hmm what else can i talk about. oh yeah. my desk and chair for working at home got delivered yesterday, son is supposed to be assembling them for me this weekend and I told him I'd pay him whatever he thinks is fair for the work. i found an awesome chair, regularly price $199 I got it on sale for $139. I'd been using an old computer chair that didn't have arms on it and was super uncomfortable long enough. No way would I want to sit in that thing 8 hours a day so I got a pretty nice one that's really comfortable (tested them out in the store first, then went home and bought it online). Ready to start working at home already. That office has gotten so loud. They're hiring lots of people right now ramping up for January so there are simply people ev-ry-where. I remember when I started 6 years ago there were empty desks all over the place, entire sections of our space were completely empty, and it was so quiet, you could sit alone at a table in the break room, not anymore. This introvert needs to work at home now.

I can't get any work done at home. Plus I get lonely because I live alone.

I know what I can do while I wait to go down to the club. I'll open my wine, kick back with a glass, and write a letter to 24 year old me. I got in touch with her Thursday in therapy while t was drumming for me the 2nd time. It was extremely emotional.

That is my sincere hope!! Should be working at home by Halloween hopefully for sure before Thanksgiving. January's overtime will be SO much easier without having to drive to and from the office every day!! I'll probably even volunteer to work more than I usually do just because of that!

I think I need to take a break from reading the news or I'm going to be in a rage all weekend (latest object of rage being Blasey Ford's bio family).

Yeah the only problem with writing a letter to 24 is that I've already written an entire paragraph about J and apologizing for leaving her and explaining that I just had to leave her before she could leave me and how much it hurt. It's like being in touch with my 24 year old self is making me feel those feelings for J all over again. I'm going to start bawling pretty soon if I keep writing. damn it. damn it!! It's probably a good thing that I lost touch with J because I really, really wish I could talk to her right now. So much. We chatted very briefly on facebook a couple years ago but she said she isn't on there much and I've never seen her on there again.

Hahahah yeah the name choice never made sense to me. But it's better than eating cereal for every meal when I'm too depressed to cook.

So, yesterday in my t's waiting room, I picked up this jar of self-care papers to look at. You know, one of those Rx in a Jar things?

The first slip I pulled out told me I wasn't a superhero, so to ask for help. Psshh. As if.

Then, when I was putting the slip back in, I noticed on the inside label that they've trademarked the "distinctive shape" of the round plastic container, which is ridiculous.

THEN...I read the outside of the jar, which pictured a sample tip that said "Avoid caffeine."

Clearly, I need to stop touching the things in the waiting area.
