Yeah, the kids are cute and I agree that teenagers looking for mischief are annoying.

Also, in the US, I seriously doubt anyone would give or accept cookies. We don't trust each other enough to take baked goods from a stranger. I think most people give out mini candy bars or other small candies. There are probably exceptions, but this is the norm.

Thank you for taking the time to post NP.

Creepy guy knocked on my door, and gave me stomatology past paper questions and in conversation said that he was close to me, but that I had walls made of steel. As cliched as it sounds, I've lost a lot of friends and my relationships don't tend to last long, but I feel like each of them took something from me. I don't know how to let him in. (reminded of Catherine's ghost saying "let me in").

Um...don’t you call him Creepy Guy for a reason? Why would you want to let him in?

I watched a suggested youtube video, about an american police officer warning against drugs shaped like candy. I wouldn't take sweets from someone I didn't know.

WhisperShadow, your comment about the trick or treaters went a little too far. Please trigger warning it.
I’m not going to to answer my door tonight but I’m just leaving my porch light off and that signals to any parents with small children not to knock here.
Thanks for this!

I'm helping at my Church's trunk or treat again this year. Year 3 so far. I help with registration. I get to see all the cute costumes, plus plenty of scary ones. Last year there was a girl dressed up as Fern from Charlotte's Web. So cute. Totally my favorite. Looking forward to what my favorite will be this year. My sister's kids always go as someone historical. So two of them are going as Andrew Jackson. Lol. But she lives 5 hours from me so I will only get to see pictures maybe...if she remembers to take any. Kit.

Creepy guy is what R called him, when I told him about a conversation I had with him, when he said we didn't have to date, but could just have se x instead and the name stuck.

He lives on my floor, and is in my year so usually comes over if he needs random things like salt. Yesterday it was because he needed a needle which I don't have. He's flirty but he's the closest friend I have at the moment, even though most of our talk is just superficial. I do tend to knock on his door when I'm really lonely. And he's okay to study with as he has friends in other years so we trade notes. A useful alliance.

I got my car back yesterday. The accident damage looks worse than i remember it. My daughter said it didnt look as bad. Idk now more money to fix it. The mechanic gave it back with front drivers side indicators not working. They are waiting on a mirror to be sent up. Hope the transport department dont pull me over.

We usually decorate and carve pumpkins with our exchange students. I'm getting ready to sweep the porch and light the pumpkins.

We get little bitties in our neighborhood, lots of young families have moved in the past couple years, and I like manning the door.

I remember on the Cosby show, they had separate bags for candy from "people we know" and "people we don't know". The "don't know bag" was thoroughly inspected by the parents, eg looking for needle holes in the wrappers.

I still think Bill Cosby's public persona was a force for good.

I don't think you want to. In which case, keeping him out is the right thing to do.

Odd question, feedback welcome...

If someone says something like "You're such a creeper" or "Hang out like a creeper" do you take it as a joke or as something offensive? I ask because this has always been a funny silly thing among me and friends/siblings and I think my T thinks its an offensive statement was very confused about it, we had a weird discussion but I didn't know how to really explain it after a bit. Maybe I'm in the wrong?

I would normally take it as a joke but it depends how it was said.

I would take it as a joke but if it’s an inside type of joke between your siblings and friends then I can see how an outsider might find it offensive-not knowing the other party and their mannerisms.

It’s going to be 73 degrees today and tomorrow in these parts. A Little November warm up. We had really warm weather -summer like-for the first 2 weeks of October then it cooled down to fall like weather. Now we have a little
Warm up then by Saturday it will be in the 50’s again. I never understood Mother Nature and I think she should fire her Psychiatrist.

Yes, she must ASAP, the weather changes get more ridiculous every year.
