Have to give a presentation to my residency program this afternoon and just found out it's being filmed as part of a promo for our program -- eye roll. I refuse to get all weird about it and straighten my hair or put on makeup or whatever!

Ugh, I have an hour to kill before didactics start and I can't really settle to anything. This is dumb; usually I'm dying for a break in the middle of the day.

I don't know. I had so many therapists who were in private practice that I tried to get hold of to no avail for an initial appointment, but because they had no secretary calls didn't get returned. I would have been happy to have any sort of response because it was such a waste of my time. Drove me crazy.

I took my AD and AP last night and this morning. My anxiety is still through the roof but I'm sure that is work related. I feel a little shaky but that could be the meds being reintroduced into my body. I've been on the AD for so long I don't remember what symptoms I had when I started it, same with the AP. I'm worried about the PDOC appointment tonight. Not sure what the PDOC can do. We are at the highest dosage of AP and AD. Actually I think there is one more mg for the AP but that is only recommended for schizophrenia. I think he will leave the ADHD med alone. Maybe add a mood stabilizer? I haven't had a great deal of success with those really but IDK what else he can do. I'm worried he's going to say it's hopeless.

I feel vulnerable and fragile today. I'm letting the accounting firm we pay reconcile the bank accounts for the month. I just don't have it in me to be at my best today and they want it done ASAP. I spent the morning so far putting out fires (not literally) and trying to get vendor's paid when we haven't been paid by customers. I took some anti-anxiety medication and the shaking seems to have stopped. I feel like i can't think or talk though. I'm trying to breathe deeply to settle my core being. I'm debating about asking my PDOC for a couple of days off of work, but then I don't want the doctor's note to say "psychiatrist" I'm still in my 90 day probation period since we were bought out in June. I don't need ammo against me right now. It shouldn't be held against me, but who am I kidding? They do it all the time.

I sent P an email this morning asking for a session. He actually had something open, so I'm seeing him at 2:05. Weird time but I'm fairly certain it's immediately after his personal therapy.

i know. i still haven't properly settled on one for L. (From whom I am starting another break after this week's session.)

Geology class is going well other than the hiccup re: TurnItIn. I just finished module 3 and will be starting on module 4 this evening. It's about minerals and for our assignment we'll be working with the box of rocks and test kit. Yay!

When I took Geology I did a paper and presentation on landslides along the CA coast. That was fun.

I don't so much remember learning about different rocks and minerals but I imagine we must have.

I got a new phone last night. Dad paid for it. I haven't had a new one in a long time so this one is great.

I'm sorry you're in a place where being ill could be used against you. Would it be possible for your psychiatrist to contact your regular doctor and get him to sign it? All referral reports in the UK are always sent back to GPS, so maybe you a similar system.

I can see why it would be a good idea, if their low on time, but I'm a bit greedy and want someone's full attention.
