I got my car fixed tonight! I was at the grocery store a little later than normal and the whole experience was sublime. Crowd was manageable and line was short. I may do it again someday.

My school district says they're exercising extreme caution and closing schools tomorrow. If the county offices close then I get to stay home, too. Fingers crossed, a day to lay around reading and listening to the rain and wind.

I feel like a horrible person because I don't want anyone to be hurt or lose their home and livelihood just so I get a day off.

Have a good safe evening couch.

By the way, we talked about this in the past on the couch. My daughter sent me this link:

Free personality test, type descriptions, relationship and career advice

| 16Personalities

I think I've done these tests before but my personality type was different then.

Is this something that changes or evolves over time? My answers were as honest as they could be. The ISFJ-T kind of surprised me.

Anyone have an opinion?

I remember the conversation on the couch..actually a couple times but I don’t recall ever actually taking the test. I’ll do it tomorrow.

Sister told us today she’s hiring the very first lawyer she has consulted with. (She has consulted with 6 since this whole thing started)

We will see if he actually gets hired. I didn’t ask her a million questions when she told me today. I just said “I’m glad to hear you’ve made a decision” and left it at that.

My H is already trying to sabotage my quitting smoking. I was saying how I was craving a cigarette, and he told me to go buy a couple of packs?! I didn't. It just sucks to not have someone back you up.

I am still solidly intp-a. I don't know what isfj-t is. I will go read up on it.

Hi couch. I just got home from the first night of belly dancing class. It was weird I got super emotional partway through and totally started bawling right in the middle of class!! I don't know what was going on with that. Releasing stuff my body is still holding onto, I guess. I had to excuse myself and go find a tissue. Er, a handful of tissues.

Oh and speaking of my body, it may not be able to get out of bed in the morning...

I don't know what the heck it is, but it's pretty spot on. Maybe the description and strength/weakness parts are more thorough than the other one I took before.

Introverted
Sensing
Feeling
Judgment
Turbulent

Anyway it was a fun read!

As in recent years I am an INFJ-A, the Advocate.

Pretty sure in high school I was an ISTJ. I can imagine answers to questions would change as people evolve, mature, experience traumas, and so on.

ETA: the description makes me sound like Marianne Williamson: “These types tend to believe that nothing would help the world so much as using love and compassion to soften the hearts of tyrants.” When in history has that ever worked?

The description I got was:
Where Logicians do not thrive is in workplaces that require them to provide a high degree of emotional satisfaction – cruise ship masseuses they are not. Logician personalities struggle to understand emotional exchanges, and service-oriented positions will prove baffling and exhausting for them....
Purely emotional situations are often utterly puzzling to Logicians, and their lack of timely sympathy can easily offend.

This description may not be entirely untrue - I can honestly say that amongst the jobs I have never considered - cruise ship masseuse is right there.

I failed the written part for my radiology exam by two marks.

I can retake on the 11th, but registration opens tomorrow at 7pm.

I texted R asking if my normal thursday slot is free- my normal time is at 10.30 for 55 mins from now if he didn't give it away after I cancelled it.

Edit: And it's gone.

Yes you can tell him to shove it. It may work for X but not for you.If you're open to it coolio but you know yourself better than anyone else.

INFP-T Mediator it said i talk in metaphors, so maybe thats why nobody ever understands me? I'll buy that!

...dwell on past mistakes
...empathize with fictional characters
...find it easier to forgive other people than themselves
...need at least half an hour to really wake up!
Thanks for this!

I told my T today what I did to my wrist. Thankfully he didn't react badly when I told him...not that he's reacted badly to my SH before, but it was I was worried about it since this was different.
I told him I assume that IOP knows it's bandaged up because of SH, but he said they might not unless I told them. I feel like what's the point of going in tomorrow and telling them if they're telling me it's likely my last day anyway.

I see my T again in the morning before IOP and my new pdoc right after IOP.

Interesting, I'm the same: INFP-T Mediator. I always come out as an INFP no matter what version of the test I take.
This all fits:
-Mediators often drift into deep thought, enjoying contemplating the hypothetical and the philosophical more than any other personality type.

--Mediators often take challenges and criticisms personally, rather than as inspiration to reassess their positions. Avoiding conflict as much as possible...

--This aversion to conflict, while contributing greatly to stability in the relationship when done right, is probably the most urgent quality for Mediators to work on. Between their sensitivity and imagination, Mediators are prone to internalizing even objective statements and facts, reading into them themes and exaggerated consequences, sometimes responding as though these comments are metaphors designed to threaten the very foundations of their principles. Naturally this is almost certainly an overreaction, and Mediators should practice what they preach, and focus on improving their ability to respond to criticism with calm objectivity, rather than irrational accusations and weaponized guilt.

--Mediators crave the depth of mutual human understanding, but tire easily in social situations

--The biggest challenge for Mediator parents, especially more Turbulent types who often have even more trouble with self-doubt than most, is to establish more practical and day-to-day structures and rules.

I suspect my T is an ENTP--The Debater.

--Like playing Devil's advocate
--This is further complicated by Debaters’ unyielding honesty, as this type doesn’t mince words and cares little about being seen as sensitive or compassionate.
--Charismatic
--Very argumentative
--Being so rational, Debaters often misjudge others feelings and push their debates well past others’ tolerance levels.

From a different site:
--They hate to be controlled or to have too many restrictions placed upon them.

--They hate feeling controlled or trapped (two terms T has recently used regarding me).

Mine said I’m a ISFP-T (Adventurer)

While some of the traits ring true-many don’t. Perhaps I’ll try the test again after a proper amount of coffee. Clearly I read some of the questions wrong..
