I don't have strong soap opinions, but I buy lavender-scented Dial body wash because I like the way it smells. My ex's dad worked for Procter and Gamble, and he said that he thinks soap companies started to market body wash more aggressively in the late nineties and early aughts because you're more likely to squirt out too much. With bar soap, you only use exactly as much as you need. That's his crackpot theory on the motivations of Big Soap anyway. Maybe P&G paid for influence on the script in that episode of Friends?

I either just press them onto the new bar of soap or put them in an old sock and use it like a soapy wash cloth

No - it usually is not.
And what is your obsession with cooties. Before this pandemic, I really was not much of a just random hand washer. I don't plan on continuing after this. I do wash my hands more now when I go out.
I have been using soap socks my whole life - they are fine.

If soap kills the virus, which is ostensibly why I'm washing my hands for 20 seconds now, it stands to reason that the virus probably isn't living on the bar of soap itself.

Now I'm wondering if my hygiene habits would seem strange to another person. I don't reuse bath towels for instance, which I gather other people do.

Off today and tomorrow!!! And maybe off for a few days after that, depending on how busy things are.

I’m really grateful that I have some time to recuperate—I am one tired doctor.

Got woke up by the loud blaring of my phone telling me that our shelter in place was extended. Not that I expected it to be lifted this weekend, but not how I wanted to wake up.

And found out my oldest hasn't slept at all. He does this quite often and gets his schedule all messed up.

i met with this new guy therapist yesterday .he seemed ok. he was on the older side but seems to have all his faculties about him. he said he is more of a holistic therapist but has worked with cbt. he asked if i would bring in the paper sheets i have . so we will se .he said if im looking for a strict cbt therapist he would understand if i felt i wouldnt want to work with him and find a more cbt orientated therapist . he asked a lot of questions and it didnt seem so bad . he wore jeans and a kind of zip up sweater shirt thing . kind of how my hubby dresses. at least he wasnt all dressed up . he use to work in a va hospital. and thinking about lonesome tonight he was wearing low tennis sox so i could see his leg when his pant leg was lifted a bit lol

Went on a lovely morning walk at a local wildlife conservation area. Only ran into a handful of people, and didn’t get within six feet of any of them. I saw a few muskrats, some swallows, and a ton of red winged blackbirds

That sounds beautiful, Chihiro. I'm really missing walking in nature.

Therapist dream nudity trigger?

Possible trigger:

I'm glad she's not the kind of therapist who wants to talk about dreams because I really don't want to talk about that! I think my subconscious is annoyed that our session on Friday was interrupted by her kid needing to grab her hiking boots. We did also talk about her maybe not needing her parking permit anymore. I think I am a little leery about boundaries because she is more relaxed than Liz, and blurry boundaries played a role in my massive rupture with Liz last year.

SD, on your recommendation, my wife baked hotdog buns! They smell amazing, and some of them actually look like they might hold a hotdog.

Good - which recipe did you use? And hotdogs can always be cut to fit a bun. I like sour kraut and mustard on mine.

I’m blaming my posting about Info for this. Because that could actually happen to her in real life.

She used Burger or Hotdog Buns from All Recipes.

Sauerkraut sounds good, but we don't have any. It'll probably be ketchup and mustard for me.

New cat, loan dog, and I recorded a Zoom Easter greeting for my family. It went like this.

ATAT: Hey everybody, Happy Easter!
Loan dog: Woof!
*new cat struggles violently and head butts ATAT*
ATAT: This is loan dog. And this is new cat’s Zoom debut.
*new cat stops struggling and stares at ATAT with malice in her heart*
Loan dog: WOOF! (pushing his face nearer the webcam)
*new cat starts struggling again*
ATAT: Happy Easter, everybody!
