My thing with the yarn is I have many projects in progress at the same time, I like to switch around as I go. And we have an ottoman in front of the couch so I always stack up short boxes of yarn behind it where H can't see them from his side of the couch (or from the front door if anyone comes over, not that anyone does during covid but...) there were 4 count 'em four small boxes sitting there full of yarn /different projects. I put 3 of them in my office closet and left only the one with the slipper projects in it out. The room looks so much neater now.

Oh and then there's Penelope - she simply delights in playing with the yarn. She likes to pull a partial skein out of one of the boxes and bat it around the room. The other 2 cats don't bother with it, they're both 'old men' and don't play much anymore.

So i dont know whats going on. Amazon told me yesterday i could not buy a big jar of peanut M&M's. It looked like it had the same problem that Zipcar had! So i thought fine, maybe they sent me a new debit card, let me go check my mail. So i TOOK A SHOWER so i could go check my mail without asphyxiating anybody in the apartment building. Also bought a small bag of peanut mnms. Did not find a new debit card. Did not like the mnms. Tried renting a zipcar, it worked (i assume the changes i made yesterday all "took"). Cancelled the big jar of m&m's.

Tl/dr but it looks like everything worked out, and thousands of calories were saved!

I have never been a fan of plain m&m's. I used to convince my sibling to give me his pixie stix in exchange for my m&m's. The peanut ones are okay but there are better chocolate covered peanuts and almonds if you like chocolate covered nuts

I am a huge fan of peanut m&m's! I haven't had any in awhile because I'm trying to eat better. I don't want to get the "taste" for them again, or whatever. Oh, and today is day 9 of my 10 day commitment to walk at least a mile a day. I'm barely over a mile today, so I probably should get on the treadmill for a bit. Tomorrow I'm going to walk in the early morning because I have a dr appt at 9:40 and then see L at 1. I've decided to commit to another 10 days and see how it goes.

I just finished typing up my dreams for therapy tomorrow. I was surprised to count that there are 8 of them. I'd been in a bit of a dream-drought prior to that so I guess it was to be expected, especially since I've been reading a book about dreaming and also doing those online workshop thingies about dream work and imagination. I think I'm going to wish we had more time tomorrow once L and I start talking.

And **** this. Stopdog’s right. Cash means the responsibility is hers as soon as I pay, not arguably still mine. It’s cash going forward. (Bonus: no paper trail.)

I think I paid No. 3 in cash once—I had forgotten my checkbook and her credit card thing charged a fee. She had no problem with it.

Late to the game, but I would pay her however is convenient for you, but also buy a blank receipt book and require her to sign for each payment.

You can defer chocolate for 48 hours?

Is that some kind of superpower?

Yes it must be.

I found out this out recently about peanut M&M's and a lot of other sweets.

For anyone interested in my ongoing T saga:

Psychiatrist spoke with T. She told him to back off, loosen up. He said he didn't mean to throw down a gauntlet... but he did. She said he really wants to keep working with me, that he and I have done years of good work, that he wants to work out this stalemate. She said he must have just panicked. She said that T and I shouldn't try to reconstruct what happened and why everything got so messed up, that we should just try to go forward. She advised that I try to take a half-step forward him and see what happens... and if it gets messed up again, she'll take another crack at it.

I'm "seeing" him via Zoom in a few hours.

I dunno about this.

I think that is a crock of **** and I would not let him profit off of me any longer. His feelings about it are of no relevance at all.
But good luck if it is what you want

What exactly panicked him? When you had previously told him that you weren't comfortable with discussing X.

Do you also want to work this out?

What would half a step look like for you?

What exactly was it in this situation for him to panic about? And he most certainly threw down a gauntlet. I hope your session goes well and you can negotiate a truce.

I slept in by about 2 hours (blissful!) this morning, got up and fed the cats then went for a walk, day 10 of my 10 day commitment to myself, was almost 1.5 miles. Then got ready and went to dr appointment, follow up about my shoulder after I got the xray. She rescheduled the first one that had been for right after. Anyway she confirmed what I thought I understood from the online report, that there's no tear, and she is calling it osteoarthritis and is sending me to physical therapy. I never heard from the PT place so she's contacting them again. Now I'm back home puttering around the house, til it's time to go to t.

Is your shoulder still as painful, Artie? My sister has a bad time with her back. Her doctors said it is from carrying five children. Plus she has scoliosis like me. She is trying acupuncture and cupping. The cupping looks painful but she says it's not. She also goes to a chiropractor. She did physical therapy and pain management. Now she is doing pain management and alternative therapies. Just wondered if you had tried anything like that for your shoulder? (Not saying you should or shouldn't, just that there are options out there if you don't hear back from the PT place.)

Got paid today so paid some bills. I paid my car registration earlier this week which I feel good about. It isn't due until May but I had the money so I wanted to pay it. I have to get my taxes done, hopefully next week. And then I will be set. Nothing else hanging over my head.
