Trigger for Covid

Possible trigger:

I went to Olive Garden with my parents on Saturday for my birthday lunch. My birthday was Wednesday but we went out to eat on Saturday. I also got my tattoo on Saturday. It's a semi-colon which is a mental health symbol which kitty cat ears and whiskers. I like it!

trigger for medical
Possible trigger:

I am spacey and out of it today. I took an Olanzapine last night. I usually take half but I took a whole one because I was going to bed. I thought it wouldn't affect me this much today, but boy was I wrong!

I have to call Pdoc because I tried to fill my Vyvanse and they said that they didn't have a prescription from the doctor. My doctor always sends in three and I saw him on June 1st. So I don't know if the pharmacy is mistaken or my pdoc. He isn't in until tomorrow but his receptionist might be there so I am debating whether to call today or tomorrow.

Kit, the heart rate of a woman (I think you are female, else it's a bit lower) should be between 60 and 100 beats per minute. It is desirable for it to be low. Your age, size, activity level and other things such as medication can affect it. It would be good to see a doctor if it's above 100 a lot. You can take your own pulse very easily. The suggestion usually is to feel it on yourself (there is areas on the wrist, throat and probably other locations where you can feel it, I suggest to look it up online), set a timer for 15 seconds and count how many beats you can feel, then multiply by four. This gives you the heart rate. If you find that it's often in the range of 100, especially if you've been sitting for a few minutes, I think seeing your GP would be a good idea. But it's not immediately dangerous.

Btw the thing on the finger is most probably both pulse and oxygen saturation.

Celebrated the 4th of July with a friend of mine. We had a few issues but I guess it wasn't too bad. I ended up being the only person who showed up at his house.

Thanks, yes, I'm female. I just tested it right now with a stopwatch on the computer and it was 80. So maybe I will test it a few times before deciding whether or not to make a GP appointment! Thanks for the tip!

I'm getting ready to go camping with the barbarians, and they are all busy this morning with summer classes and theater and dance. So I'm baking scones and waiting until they are back to load the heavy things in the car. I don't recall saying they could go on ahead and just have their own lives and stuff. Hmmph. (Actually this is our annual trip with family friends, and we deliberately choose a close-in campground so the spawn can go back and forth from jobs and such.) I'm looking forward to being in the woods by the campfire and getting out onto the lake.

That's a really clever tattoo, Kit. To anybody who isn't aware of the significance of the semicolon, it just looks like a cat...but to those who know...there's another layer.

Beautiful.

I called my pdoc's office today because the pharmacy said I didn't have any prescriptions for my ADHD medicine. This was on Saturday but my pdoc only works Wed-Fri. So I talked to the receptionist who checked and he had sent three prescriptions on the 1st of June (which is what I told the pharmacy people)! So the receptionist called the pharmacy and my medication should be ready by 4 PM today.

I'm glad it will be ready today, Kit. If what you take is a stimulant (I think you said Vyvanse before?), that would be a controlled substance, so pharmacies seem really careful about when it's actually ready (I think they worry about people selling it on the street, which obviously you wouldn't do!). We've had that experience with my D's medication, where it's not like we could potentially pick it up while we still had a few pills left, for example. Wonder if that's what happened here? Or the pharmacy just messed up (we've had that, too--CVS kinda sucks for that!).

Hi LT. Yes, it is Vyvanse. It was time to refill it and I asked for it to be filled but they "couldn't find it in the system" even though I told them the date it was sent. So I had to wait until I could call my Dr's office and the receptionist straightened it out. So I have been without it for a few days. Kind of sucks but I survived!

My therapist texted and said she is feeling a little better. She asked how I am. I haven't responded yet because I don't know how to answer that question. I mean.....it's like, how much do I say? I know she is sick so I don't want her to feel like she needs to make time to see me if she isn't up to it. But on the other hand I try to be honest with her. I'm trying to figure out the right balance of a response. It's tricky!

She wouldn't have messaged if she didn't have the energy to hear your reply, Kit.
You pay her for a service, and it's reasonable to show concern for her. However, you still need to look out for yourself.

You can be honest with her, and she can manage her response.
