H and I just got home from being in a hit and run accident. The guy hit us when we were stopped at a light. H is okay, my shoulder hurts, but the cop said wait to see how I feel tomorrow. The car has a slash in the bumper. Looks like a scratch, but up close, it's cut open. H actually tried following the guy. Stupid, went through a Costco gas station full of cameras. We just hope the quality of the tape is good enough to see his license plate.

So sorry to hear this, Scarlet.
You had quite enough on your plate to begin with.

I hope they're able to trace the person responsible.

That's scary, Scarlet! Gentle hugs. Hope your shoulder feels better now and that they can get the other driver's license plate.

I need sunshine - it has been grey here for a week or so - I don't know how people in finland, norway, etc do it.

I have been to seattle a lot and it has never been all that grey. A friend of mine lives there and I have been in all seasons. Just lucky on that I guess.

Oh, OK, interesting. Admittedly, I've never been there--just going by reputation. Hope your area gets sunshine soon.

it's rainy and grey here too, and chilly (for us, anyway). I don't know what it is with me and flat tires lately but I looked at my car this morning that I haven't driven in several days and see that I have another flat tire, a different one this time not the one I just got replaced not long ago. I'm not gonna bother trying to change it in the rain so I called AAA and they'll be here at some point. Hopefully he'll have a better raincoat than I do haha

I went to the er last night. No structural damage. I still hurt though.

I have a long drive ahead of me today (which won't help my shoulder). Have to go pick up my aunt an hour north of us, then drive her 2 hrs back down to my mom. Then we go out to dinner and have to drive an hour back home.

I'm not in the holiday spirit. Just too much going on: L not here, car accident, no money because of Anya's surgery...

Glad to hear Stormy is doing better.

Don't forget to take lots of pictures of him this year.

Is your son coming back home for Christmas?

I have a little holiday spirit, but it's definitely been dampened by the Stormy situation, poor guy. He's still eating and drinking this morning, so that's good anyway. He finished off the first batch of chicken baby food I made for him, so I just made another batch this morning.

Thanks Lemon. I sure will!

It has been gray and rainy here and I love it.

The times I’ve been to Seattle and Portland, it’s been both sunny and cloudy.

Its not snowing here is the best i can say.

I think i got dehydrated the other night and effed up my inner ear crystals. I am woozy. My blood pressure is okay, i just tilt when i walk if im not careful. So i started doing an at-home Eppley maneuver and am feeling a little better, but its just not fun.

Today’s New York Times has an article addressing the important question of just how formulaic are Lifetime and Hallmark Channel holiday movies?

Answer:
Possible trigger:

To arrive at that conclusion, they watched 424 Hallmark and Lifetime holiday movies. I would have gone nuts.

Dehydration can affect ear crystals? Interesting. My MIL has had some issues with ear crystals at times, wondering if that could have been a cause?

Hope you feel better soon!

"BPPV may follow head trauma (concussion/TBI), viral neurolabyrinthitis, labyrinthine ischemia, infection, and prolonged or unusual head positioning (dentist, hairdresser, etc..). Age, dehydration, flying, intense exercise or pounding such as mountain biking on rough trails, and medication are also contributors to BPPV."

I have a front tooth root canal that also makes me dizzy, but i dont think thats it this time. I had my usual "omg im dehydrated" dream where stuff spins around, from not enough water with my topamax at night. My aunt - my mothers sister - has had the epley maneuver done in a drs office - she said it was horrible! - so i figure its a family weakness. Like hemorrhoids.

The sun finally popped out this afternoon just in time for darkness to fall. Usually Dec here is not this sunless. Feb is usually the worst here

ex hankster - we kept packets of pedialyte around for my person - md (I always type vet first and have to change it) suggested it to help with her dehydration problems during chemo etc.

Oh yeah i have some around. I forgot.

I felt better after my oatmeal dinner, and i waited an extra day to take my pee medicine. I was having some bruit earlier and that is gone now.

I need to not let that happen again.

that seems excessive - I would have thought it was obvious after enduring 2 of them

H & I drove down to Bisbee/Tombstone last night to have dinner and look at the Christmas lights. We had fun, even made up a hilarious version of the 12 days of Christmas.
