Still waiting on my interview elsewhere. They called last night and said not to come in. Ok but why wasn’t transferring an option? They refused to even try to transfer me

RUBY: STOP working. Just stop. You are not a safe person to work around. You have issues going on that IMO are well beyond ASD or autism. I’m not qualified to even guess what is going on with you. I can’t believe whoever manages your case keeps encouraging you to work. What do your parents say about all of this ? I never hear you talk about what they think. If you work you are endangering your coworkers or whatever manager you get. I hope you get fired and collect unemployment. You need therapy and in my opinion a day program possible IOP to work on this stuff. Since it’s been happening for roughly 12 years according to what you said about a manger that you worked with in 2009 what makes
You or your case manager or parents think another job will be different? I support job opportunities for disabled people but not when the behavior is so disruptive and dangerous to everyone around them.

Ruby, you do not see anything wrong with the way that you "look up to" supervisors and superiors. It's your whole approach to looking up to someone that gets you into trouble. You become obsessed with the person, to the point of wanting to be around them off work hours and to the point of completely melting down and acting out when they no longer wish to communicate with you. This obsession has become out of control, your behavior at work is out of control and until you get help, the same issue will keep repeating itself over and over again. People here are encouraging you to seek additional assistance and to stay out of work until you can get a handle on your issues. You need professional help and a counselor who can help you with behavioral issues. Perhaps cognitive behavioral therapy would help.

I don’t feel bad AT ALL having lost this job. When I was forced out of previous companies, I felt at least a little bad. Now I just don’t care.

I need to move to a new city or town for a fresh start. Opportunities abound.

The new company where I never worked before doesn’t have my record in their system.

And why did Mcdonald’s flat out refused to transfer me to another store? Why couldn’t the GM chick call around first to see who will take me? She could always lie and tell them I’m really good employee. Then I’m off her hands for good and I still have a job. Win-win

You can't make a fresh start when the problems you have are inside of you. They will go WITH YOU wherever you go because you are not FIXING THE PROBLEM. You would just be running to a new place & bringing all your crap with you & a new place would find out exactly what you are like & it wouldn't be any different there. Until you FIX the problem INSIDE YOUR BRAIN a new city will not be a fresh start it will just continue to be the same crap over & over again. There are NOT boundless opportunities out there for people like you who continually cause trouble at a job.

Fix yourself before you ever do anything else. You are broken & not functional around normal people working at a job

You you so mentally broken that you don't get it....NO ONE wants to work with you, no one wants the trouble you cause at their work place.

Your bad behavior follows you wherever you go & unless you get the mental help you need to CHANGE this crap will follow you wherever you go for the rest of your life & you will cause hell at every place you work.

You do not create a win-win situation for anyone anywhere you go. Stop wanting a job & use your energy to get yourself fixed with the help of the mental health people so you can be functional working. Right now you are so broken no company wants you working for them because of all the trouble you create

They don’t have your record but you’ll start the same trouble there. Unless you get help and start learning to behave ruby.

I encourage everyone to work. People with every disability on the planet work. At the very least part time. Working is not only good for your financial stability but it’s often good for self esteem and your mental health.

Having said that, you must learn to behave first. You aren’t ready to work because you do not behave on the job

Attention Seeking Behavior in Adults: Causes, Other Symptoms, More

I think this whole thing has to do with attention seeking behavior. If you can’t get the positive attention of the GM and coworkers, then you’ll get negative attention. Any attention is good attention for you.

This is an article starting with attention seeking, then it discusses all the personality disorders. It’s food for thought, should you want to think about it.

I understand you did not come here to change your faulty thinking and negative behavior. You want to keep doing what you are doing. I have total acceptance you do not want to change.

I can’t help but compare myself often on this forum. If I had people speaking to me harshly, I would be so upset, I’m sure I’d have an emotional meltdown. I was diagnosed with EDD or BPD traits. I’m not sure how anyone else with BPD (or any other disorder) would also respond to the tone of this thread. You don’t seem to mind. It makes me think you are enjoying the negative attention. Just my opinion for whatever it’s worth.

Because McDonald's does't feel you will be valuable to them, even at another store. Your behavior has been unacceptable, and they are telling you this by stating they will not transfer you.

You think you can exhibit this kind of bad behavior and still get a transfer and retain a job? You will never learn, Ruby, until you seek help and acknowledge that you have a problem.

Because you're a liability. They put themselves in legal hot water by even doing that. That's what you don't get. Employers hire employees who are assets, they BRING something valuable to the team. You are a liability. You cost them money through GMs transferring to get away from you, other employees can sue if they don't fire you after you create this toxic work environment.

Bad behavior is one problem. You've created an unsafe work environment, and they can't transfer that anywhere.

So you don't care about how the remarks you've made have made your coworkers feel but you expect them to cater to your emotions?

You don't care how that racist remark made your manager feel?

Maybe you should start caring how others feel and it would help you stop losing jobs.

Ruby, I remember reading in this thread that you had a stable work history while at Sam's Club. How was that workplace different?

Maybe working at fast food restaurants isn't suitable for you. Places like that are often filled with drama due to the type of demographic those jobs attract. For most it is a place to get experience and move on. Maybe you need to work with older and more mature coworkers.

I work full-time and have noticed work places that keep employees constantly busy tend not to have much drama and gossip.

Ruby acted out at Sam's Club and got let go.

Ruby, since you have trouble with boundaries:

A boundary is a limit to how comfortable that person is doing something. If you respect those boundaries, you understand what they are not comfortable with you doing and you don't do anything to make them uncomfortable. A good example would be with hugging. To respect someone's boundaries when it comes to hugging, it means to understand how comfortable they are with being hugged, and if you love to give hugs and they don't like hugs, you would be respecting that boundary by not expecting them to reciprocate and you not hugging them.

In your case Ruby, at work.... telling someone you will miss them while they are on vacation is crossing a professional boundary. You would say this to a friend, but not in a professional work environment. You confuse friendships with professional relationships. Things you would say to a friend you likely cannot be saying in a professional work environment. Terms of endearment are a no-no, and so is fixation on a specific superior or supervisor.

Boundaries CAN be learned. You have to respect people's comfort levels and pay attention to both body language and people's reactions to what you are saying to them.

Same thing happened in Sams. Things went well until ruby started riding in the shopping carts, call co workers “mom” (because they were older), getting argumentative and it was something about pretending to be a cat or something. Then she was fired.

I might be forgetting details but things were good at this place too, until they weren’t.

People were mature and older in Sams and management is mature and older in McD too. They are all adults with kids and spouses. I don’t think maturity of coworkers is an issue. Ruby’s drama usually isn’t with co workers but with management.

Ruby needs a lot of special support to make sure she behaves on the job. Or she’d be always fired

I read through the thread yesterday. It's really long, so it's hard to keep track of all the details. Thanks for the correction.

Most fast food places I have been to are staffed by teenagers, at least at the front end.

I've noticed people who live with ASD and obsess about people really struggle in life, more so than others who obsess about objects.
