I called my psych nurse and she wasn't in so they transferred me to someone else and they never called back. I'm telling you if this is gonna be my life I don't want it. I don't.

Too many meds and they're not even working. Wtf is wrong with me? Why can't I sleep
I hope that you feel better soon.

I'm sure you'll do great!

My Mum was rushed to hospital with suspected peritonitis, which is an infection in the abdominal cavity. They started her on IV antibiotics and are transferring her to the bigger hospital as I write. They will either do a scan there (she's had an X-ray) or take her straight to surgery. I'm really scared. I thought (hoped) she had a sickness bug due to her low immunity, but apparently the med she's on to stop her immune system from attacking the liver can thin the lining of the bowel causing it to burst, which is what they think has happened. I've seen people with peritonitis die so I'm really worried. I'm stuck at home cos I'm babysitting my sister, plus I had to visit my grandfather with dementia to fill his med dispenser and check on him, picking up the slack from my Dad who's with my Mum at the hospital. I know I couldn't do anything in the hospital to help my Mum either, but at least I'd be with my Dad

Wow that is really rough...I'm so sorry about your mom but it sounds like you have really picked up the slack allowing your dad to be there for her. That's something to be proud about.

Has anyone here ever done a juice cleanse? I was thinking about trying it...I was watching this hungry for change on netflix and it seemed to be pretty recommended and I don't see how it could hurt for a week or so. I'm looking at this juice master guys 7lbs in 7 days. Supposedly by the end you no longer want to eat unhealthy things like a pack of Cadbury eggs or whatever...

Yeah I usually eat pretty healthy when I eat a meal but snacking is an issue for me so I've been swapping things out that may have some redeeming factor like grains, vitamins or protein instead of you know a Reese's cup? Anyway I was thinking juices might feed my sweet tooth while being at least slightly heathy...not sure I might just check out the book then decide...thanks for the info.

In that case whole fruit would be better than juice. Even if you like some fruits better with a spoonful of sugar added, thats still lots less sugar than candy, and you still get the fiber and vitamins!

Yeah that's true...maybe I'll give that a shot...I think part of me just wants to try the juice thing to play with a new toy though so we will see

Well in that case - by all means, get the juicer! It is probably essential afterall.
Thanks for this!

Thanks for all the hugs and support guys! I really appreciate it!

She's just gone down for her operation. They said it'll be about 3 hours, so it'll be a long night. Just after I wrote my last post, the thought-blocking noise in my right ear got higher and so much louder. I don't think it's right for them to make it louder: I haven't done anything!

I'm trying to distract myself by watching comedies online, but it's really hard to dispel the fears that she's going to die. And it's hard to hear with this stupid loud noise in my ear! I wish they'd just leave me alone! Life is stressful enough as it is without them harassing me, making it worse

Im so sorry willow. I hope she will be okay.

I dont know about what shows you can get there, but if you can find Bob's Burgers, its on Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon, its one of my favourite happy shows to watch for distraction. Its a cartoon if thats okay for you.

I took an hour nap. I'm going to my sisters. It will be good for me to get out of the house. I isolate wayyyy too much.

Anyone else live alone?

My son's living here for another week or so but he's gone a lot with his friends.

I made my monthly Costco run today. I spent $50 on dog treats, but it's worth it to watch these two working on their chew sticks.
