I think it might be a combination. Does anyone else lose their appetite when they're not feeling well? I always thought it was a depression thing but I'm not depressed. Can it be a psychosis thing too?
when i get psychotic i dont eat much bc im so preoccupied. also sometimes the voices would tell me not to eat or i would get paranoid about what i was eating

Was hoping you wouldn't say that but thank you both for telling me, I appreciate it. I decided I will tell my social worker and I will try to be honest. I missed half a dose one week ago but judging from previous experience I don't think that's what set it off this time.

Good morning folks! I hope everyone's day is going alright. I'm off today, and am watching a nice 80's cartoon called Ulysses 31.

That's latin for Odysseus. James Joyce called his greatest masterpiece Ulysses because he read it in latin. He didn't know Greek so he couldn't read it in it's original form. Ulysses is known to be the greatest book of the 20th century. I'm parly through it and... sigh... it seems very political and sexual overtones are everywhere. I was told it was a modern journey of the soul through Homer's eyes. I'm not sure if Ill finish it. It doesn't really speak to me. At least yet.

Does this cartoon have any resemblance?
Thanks for this!

That's neat about the name, I never knew that. The cartoon is a futuristic, version perhaps, based on that book. It's about the journey of Ulysses and his son Telemecus, on the space ship called the Odessey. He killed the cyclops and the gods punished him by putting his crew into a sleep state, and he can't recue them until he journeys to find the kingdom of Hades.

The funny thing, is it has the Latin name of a Greek book, animated by Japan and broadcast in French, re dubbed in English.

Two days of researching Nietzsche. 1/3 of his writings have impressed me. 1/3 is weird. 1/3 is aristocratic, filled with hate and fear. This is the most read philosopher of our time. This disturbs me so much. Especially when he has no respect for women or Christian virtues such as charity, hope and faith. Feeding the needy and so on. He can't tell the difference between the Christian who needs fear to do what he ought to do and the other type of Christian who finds happiness in making other happy. Instead, he clumps the two together saying their slaves of fear and beaten down to almost nothing. The elite aristocrats who have conquered fear and conquered lands and create whatever they set their minds too, they should trample over these slaves so that civilization can go back to where it was always headed, survival of the fittest. It's disgusting. The type of elitism we need, I believe, is where everyone becomes, elite. Maybe that's my American birth nd rearing that spring forth here though.

Is this a cartoon movie or a show, because Telemachus is Odysseus' son in the Odyssey. Ody, did fought a Cyclops too. It's a great book, I recommend it.

It's a series of episodes. Each episode is another part of his journey. It definitely has basis in the Greek story. Just with robots, and alien races and stuff. It's really cool. We're watching it on YouTube because all of the eps are there.

Nietzsche is the first one that said, okay now that God is dead, what are we going to do with our morals now? They have to be human created and not handed down by an other earthly realm.

The existentialist's wrestle with this question competing and conflicting each other. Many of their conclusions are awkward, sad or questionable. Nietzsche was the one to set the challenge. Nietzsche's re-evaluation is horribly disgusting though.

i havent read much of nietzsche. more of sartre. because when i first got into philosophy nietzsche was really hard to read. sartre seemed more "laypersons" reading. which is what i needed at the beginning and still do on my journey into philosophy. i think sartre is considered modern right? i think thats why i liked him. but i was drawn into existentialism through my psychotic episode and need for searching about who i am.

i need to read more. its hard to read on these meds. its really hard. i lose motivation and lose concentration and my cognitive function leaves.

If you like I could give you sections of the philosopher's I am critiqueing. So many philosopher's can't see past the surface Nietzsche or plato, or the dry arid text of Aristotle. It's a shame thy are teaching at all without that creative understanding that points why these philosophies are so important. Instead, they teach an idea like on a conveyor belt and feed you at the trough.

For god's sake. I had a philosophy of science professor tell me that that 1984 was all about how one couldn't make love in private. That's like saying Crime and Punishment is about Russia. That guy was an idiot. Are you familiar with Plato's cave? I have that nearly polished in lyrical form. I also have the beggnings of the university and it's original purpose and how we're straying away from that. What else... I have Plato symposium which is about beauty and love. I have Herodotus' Histories who is the father of history. After Nietsche I will do Plato's Phadrus, then do aristotl'es ethics and the perfect life, then a bit on romanticism all tied into a narrative in a lyrical style. The story line is pretty ****ing awesome too.

I wish I could share with you the entire storyline. Someday when it is finished I suppose. Just a few more dialgues to write and then it's all fun sotry line from there!

Funny thing. There is a pub called The Library Pub so you can tell your spouse you're going to the library. HAHAHA! Brilliant. I just wish it wasn't a chain pub. Not a fan of chains.

My mom had open hand surgery and she's asking me to get her booze and ciggs while she's on pain meds. Yeah, that went over like a fart at church.
