I've used superglue. It stings but it glues it shut. Make sure you clean it really well first. Or else you are just gluing in germs.

If you can't get the edges to stay together with the glue it will scar though. You can PM me if you have any questions.

How so?

I feel like a little kid every time it snows.

This year there is an El Niño event so it *might* lead to a cooler winter here but it's hard to tell. We had a really harsh winter in 2009/2010 after it with snow from November through January with day time temperatures dropping to as low as -15°C or in your terms, 5°F. I loved it but I think a lot of people didn't!

So how does everyone defeat apathy and lack of motivation? I was all ready to go to the library at 7:30 then I had to go to work for a few hours. and went straight to sleep. That's all fine and good but after I woke up I didn't feel like going to the library or anything at all. I get this at work too. I go into zombie mode and work a bit slower, and the day just d-r-a-g-s on and on.

Energy drinks don't do it.
Music, lectures and audiobooks don't do it for me, or at least is rare.

I'm a strange bird. I get up at 3am, do some writing, 7 go to work, come home and take an hour or two long nap and then I have no energy. I don't know what to do with myself. Weird right?

I feel like a robot sometimes. When waking up and when working like a dog. I'd like to snap out of it somehow.

Apathy is hard
I usually just try to make it through the day as well as I can
I find getting enough sleep gives me more energy and I wouldn't recommend this, but when I don't eat I have more energy too because I feel lighter in pounds

I feel very dull and tired. I just ate instant mashed potatoes since there is nothing much else here and the carb is very sedating or something. Just feel like going back to sleep. Didn't have coffee today because I heated up the water in the coffee maker last night and forgot to open the lid.

Every time I would tell my family about suicidal thoughts, they told me that I would go to hell if I ever did. I have a disease and it can be fatal just like a physical disease. I'm sick.

Or people push you into suicide, so they should be killers.

It part of the, "Thou shalt not kill" category. People are ignorant and can't enter into an empathic relationship with you because they life in fair conditions. If you could have a one on one with them share with them this:

If I was to steal a chocolate bar under my own caprice would that be bad? Okay, what if I wasn't myself? What if I were some under some hypnotic spell, would that make me guilty? Okay, now what if instead of having a hypnotic spell, which I wasn't myself, what if I couldn't be myself and what is driving my brain, my mind into this abyss is not under my control. I can't snap out of depression, it's not a light switch away. If this disease is out of your control then you aren't in the fair condition to fully be your flourishing self. You can't be blamed because depression is in the drivers seat and your rationality is trumped by this heavy baggage. And if my rationality is defeated then how can one truly blame me if I weren't me?

It hurt me when so many of my coworkers couldn't empathize with the death of Robin Williams. It's as if they are color blind. You can't describe color to them. The only way to see it is to experience it. Your family hasn't experienced it so they view it as if it were a weakness of yours.

Their ignorant. And their capacity towards compassion is only ankle high. Even people with exceptionally high IQ's can be emotionally numb towards mental illness. Don't get me started on this though.
