I know I could post this is in the meds part but I'm curious as to your experiences in Invega? Side effects, is it any good? Depot that is! I've heard people say it wears off near the end but my doctors said that's "an old wives tale". Also what's the average mg you guys are on or have been on?

I was put on invega at the hospital so I've only been on it a short time now. There's a problem with my teeth biting sharply involuntarily. I keep biting my tongue and I'm afraid I'm going to chop it out. I'm on the oral pills. 3mg before bedtime, and 6mg in the morning. I do have cogentin for the side effects but it doesn't keep that from happening.

I've been having problems with Tapatalk not quoting properly. Maybe the problems are connected somehow.

I was on the 234mg injection every 3 weeks. It did run out short for me. There is a common side effect where it increases ur prolactin hormones. It basically makes ur body think ur pregnant. You may lactate, get big boobs, gain weight, and lose ur period. However, there are 2 meds you can add to it to prevent this effect (added also reverse it if it's already happened): abilify and metformin. Abilify worked for me but I have agitation so I went on the metformin and everything was fine. Most doctors do not know abt these drugs reversing the side effect of increased prolactin. So it may take some convincing and research on the dr part.

Invega/Risperdal were the only meds that I saw improvement with my symptoms (voices, paranoid delusions)

I'm not sure what it is, it just hit me the other day. I stopped several of my meds, I was supposed to just stop seroquel but I stopped depakote and paxil too, but the depakote and paxil were only stopped 2 days ago so it can't be that. I have no friends, nothing to do, no money. It just sucks

Those are some of the major issues, the no-money, no friends, nothing to do. That's basically my life in a sea shell. But it will get better. You'll find what you need. Things take time to happen. The really bad issue right now is you're splitting away from your meds. The impact could take weeks or months to process. And meanwhile you're getting far worse with your good goals because you're in discontinuation from a whole meds cocktail. Stopping meds can have terrible results. You know that. What you need to find is something to turn to when you're getting upset at the good goals. You just need to find a way to be less impulsive.
Thanks for this!

Thanks guys, I don't think I want to be on anything that messes with my menstrual cycle, freaks me out a bit. I have to go back on a depot or they'll stop me seeing my psychologist. I think I'll just go back on the clopixol to keep them happy, didn't really get any side effects off that.

I think I had 2mg pills and they were blue? Mine tasted horrible. I used up a very limited supply when I was being forced off kpins. Cutting them into quarters and halves. It bought me a week before my anxiety was too much to handle anymore.

My scripts of kpin and valium all tasted the same, like sugar wafers.

Is he/she a runner? My dog will run off after rabbits if I'm not super careful. She got locked up a couple weeks ago and it cost a small fortune to get her back.
