I used a fabric tote I have to carry stuff back from the store today instead of plastic bags. Trying to be more eco-friendly

In CA, we get charged for plastic bags so lots of people use the reusable bags. We also have to ask for plastic straws at restaurants. And lids at Disneyland.

I hope they fix it pronto. I'm glad the fire was confined to a manhole.

My friend's and my favorite brunch place stopped giving straws at all. Sucks because the only thing I order there is a giant Pepsi, and the ice next to my teeth hurts.

Yeah, I'm just going to start taking my own reusable cup with me that has a straw and pour the drink into it from the restaurant. This is getting ridiculous but if it helps the planet...

I'm trying to be more friendly here, especially since there's a new guy (he's really nice) who also vapes. It's so hard for me! Why am I like this?

That's a good idea. I love a huge soda in a glass with ice, but not so much without a straw.

Straws are like the least of our problems with pollution. They need to look more at major companies and their footprint rather than go after straws.

I think they are in the process of possibly passing a law here in NY banning single use plastic bags

I remember from my childhood paper straws. Not sure if they were waxed or what, but they could certainly try some out.

Hey everyone, how are things going?


I'm good. Been a busy day.


Had band early on and we had no drummer but we did proceed forward with just guitars. My bandmate had us do some warmup breathe exercises and one had to do with handling lung capacity efficently. I ended up doing one around 11.30am and another around 12.30pm. The second one I used my inhaler. It increased my capacity time by 50-60% going by the clock time taken. Then we did some singing practice.


After getting home I ended up finalizing the time for the doctor at the trans polyclinic regarding surgery. It will be our appointment to assess my condition in May before beginning a pre-counsultation at Helsinki University Hospital. I am excited. This is a big first step forward. It gives me hope.

I realized I am improving in general life. I've been showering every 3-4 days (compared to 2-3 WEEKS before). I've been brushing my teeth and mouthwash almost every day. Taking care of my piercing better. I got scared of running out of Latuda the other day which signifies I am reasonably in my right mind with logic and reasoning skills.


Evening was met with tiredness and a headache. My counterattack? Ibuprofen and coffee. Solved both problems within an hour.


What's everyone up to?

So i had a long talk. Very long talk. With the bf.

He doesnt think our relationship is “doomed”. But he says im acting like it is. I just said i want it to be the best it can possibly be. Thats all.

I told him what i hoped for and wanted out of him. I said im not leaving myself out and if he hopes for anything out of me. He said no.

I just said i dont want us to be living together but apart pretty much everyday. Like not when he works but like on his days off and after work. Like i want us to find a common thread of something we can enjoy together. I suppose ill be taking up video games a bit more. I showed him my pokemon game. He said he was turned on in the beginning cuz i said i played xbox and he thought he was gonna play CALL OF DUTY with ME, but i like stardew valley and weird farming games and pokemon.

Oh well.

But yea.

We just talked a lot. At least he knows how i feel now. Which is important to me.

As for marriage, yea i can tell hes not ready just by talking today. He says he wants to be with his friends and play video games. I feel like thats little boy stuff. Maybe im brainwashed by the black queen syndrome but most black people feel like both a man and a woman in a relationship is all you need. Like they need to be everything to you. And everything else is secondary help. Like friends, parents, job, etc. in all things pretty much. But my mom is mexican and she believes that too. Kinda. But he did say i wont have to wait forever. But its still when HE is ready.

Im glad we talked about this.

finally got a hold of my punk *** dad. i'm finally giving my gifts to my nieces tomorrow if they don't make other plans.

My roommate is a month behind on her portion of the rent. Rent is only 780 a month, plus utilities, which is usually about 100 extra. I give her $510, and she still misses rent. I guess I should float her some money... That would be the right thing to do.

I had a good day at work. My female coworker thinks my standards for women are too high lol I think the kid I use to work with told her that that is why I'm single. I've dated all types of women though. I think the best one I've dated was the psychologist though. She had the most character out of all the rest i've dated. I let that one slip because i was ill. I'm still friends with her but she's with another guy now. I'm surprised they haven't married to be honest.

What's everyone's though about marriage? My sister, probably the best person i know, after all these years, is getting a divorce. She's strong as hell. She says she'll never marry again though. Honestly, I can understand why, but I've always had that mindset because of how my step father left my mother. That was my first bout of depression when he left the final time.

as for marriage... i always wanted to get married. never actually thought about the ceremony itself but the thought of being together as a family appeals to me.

I was anti marriage right up until I got pregnant. My parents ruined the idea of marriage for me. I thought we had the perfect family...then BAM...hey kids we’re getting divorced. On Christmas Eve lol.
But I was pregnant, living with him, and had been in a monogamous relationship for 9 years. I figured it was safe enough. 16 & 1/2 years of married life later and he’s still my lobster.
My views on marriage have changed over the years. I don’t necessarily think every marriage is going to implode anymore.
There is something comforting about having someone that doesn’t legally have to testify against you.

I think the abstract concept of marriage is great but practical concept doesn’t work because people change, better to reassess every few years...
