Where I used to live it was like behind the building and across the street, so whenever I ordered something or was waiting on something to come I would be stalking the mailbox like crazy lol

Anyone know if it's possible for meds to affect you differently at different times in your life? I was on Seroquel several years ago and had really horrible restless legs every night, I got back on it over a month ago and now the dose was doubled 5 days ago and I don't seem to have any problems with that. I'm definitely not complaining, it was so annoying when it did that.

well when i was on haldol it didn't give me TD right away. as my doctor increased my dosage it didn't start going until i was on a high dosage at a certain period of time so i think it's quite possible.

Thanks, sorry you developed TD I was so pissed when that happened with one of my meds, thankfully it went away after I got off that medication. I know sometimes it can't be reversed unfortunately. That also happened when the med was increased, I had been on it for like 5 years then the TD began a few months or so after increasing

One thing that can happen is you’re on different meds with it. So there are these things called cytochromes that digest the meds and if you’ve got two drugs being digested by the same type of cytochrome it can cause both drugs to become more concentrated in the body. So effectively the dose is dependent not just on how much you’re taking but how effectively it’s being cleared by cytochromes.

Oh okay, thanks for the info! I was wondering about that as well. I was on a different mood stabilizer last time and I'm on the other AP along with it this time

My Dad is thinking of taking my older cat to the vet. I said I didn't have the money yet (assuming it's going to be a few hundred dollars and I suppose I could always put it on a credit card) but my Dad said he would front the money. I was talking to my parents about how my older cat, Esther, has been losing weight. She's eating, she's not lethargic, she's pooping, she's peeing, but she seems a bit irritable (although she is old and I think she has earned the right to be irritable) but I don't know if she is in any pain. And the losing weight thing is scaring me. I looked online and you know the Google doctor said it could be diabetes. If so, that can be treated, so that's good. But if it is something else..... I don't know when we can get her in but hopefully soon. Kit

I hope she'll be okay and if there's something wrong she gets better

Went out to breakfast with my husband. Then we went to Big Lots, Dollar Tree, and another store. All we bought was drinks lol.
Then we went to my fil’s house. I made it 10 minutes before I felt it was the wrong time. I made my hubby leave.
Now I’m home laying on the couch. Think I might nap for an hour.
Gotta decide if I want to take over the lease on fil’s car. It’s not what I’d pick but it’s got less than 5k miles on it and the buy out is reasonable. And it gets like 34mpg vs the 17 - 20 I get now.

I feel very off and wrong. It's like, any time I'm alone with my thoughts they get bigger and bigger and wrap around each other until I'm lost in my own head. I'm worried this is the beginning of psychosis or something.

Sound familiar to anyone?

Whenever I was working deeply on work this would happen...it sorta happened this morning when I was researching rare brain disorders that cause memory impairment and psychosis. In my case I like the feeling though. One thing that can be hard in recovery is realizing that not everything means a relapse. Sometimes it’s like jumping at shadows.

My boss left crying today because she was in so much pain. I felt really bad for her. Maybe that's why she's been kind of mean to me all week. She was crying and she kept apologizing to me and she was trying to get the checks done, and she couldn't do it, and I was like, I'll do them, don't worry about it. Then she cried more. I felt sort of helpless. I couldn't do anything about her pain.
