I was telling fiancé that every emergency I’ve had my dad hasn’t missed a day of work over. Which has crushed me in the past because I almost died from *sui* and he still didn’t miss work. I was crushed this morning by fiancé. My dad was gonna come up but I told him not to, that’d I’d just take myself...

I had told fiancé maybe a 2 weeks ago that I have abandonment issues. My dad worked 3 jobs when I was a kid and I only saw him on the weekends. My mom actively didnt pay attention to me and left my dad when I was 14. Just up and didn’t come back. I didn’t hear from her for 3/4 years after that. Didn’t know where she went. Like I literally woke up to goto school and she had left in the middle of the night.

That and other scenarios with them and other non-family/friends is why I get so upset about people not talking to me on a regular basis. I’m afraid they are not wanting me around anymore, don’t care about me, and want nothing to do with me.

Most people can’t afford to miss work, especially in entry level type jobs where you will be fired. This is why we have ambulances Roll Call 168 =). It’s not a mark of not caring, it’s just responsibility....without that job you couldn’t pay rent next month.

Dizziness and even anxiety are among the less common side effects but I’m thinking it could be altering the metabolism of one of your other meds...cocktails can be tricky. If this keeps up call your pdoc....

I am so sorry, Asparagae. If you have bp 1 of schizoaffective or schizophrenia, noone takes us seriously. I have also received appalling legal advice, for the very same reason. Noone will listen seriously to anything we say.

Thanks yeah I'll do that. I hate how these kind of things seem to always happen on weekends when there's no way to get in touch with pdoc, lol But Monday's not too far away. Hopefully I don't like drop dead or anything

People can be so cruel, newtus. Screw her. She isn't worth your time or thoughts. We all love you, exactly as you are.

Do you remember which brand it was that you bought, Job? I am about to order mine and didn't know which ones to get. I was looking at Super Smart, I think.

I don't think the fish oil is doing anything for my brain function. I thought I was supposed to take it for my heart. In medical school, they taught us that most supplements, all they did was create expensive urine. I do still believe that is often true, but not always, certainly.

If you want energy and lift, I know some people have done well with different versions of 5-HTP.

I've been in jobs where I was the subhuman that had to do exactly as they say. Once I was late for work (I was an apprentice welder) and the boss said "If you're late again, you're fired". I didn't really understand that because what about legit/valid excuses? Didn't matter.

I remember being late for class in high school and she said "Why are you late?" and I said "I was getting a drink of water". I didn't get it at the time. I literally didn't understand.

At my second last job in retail, I felt guilty about having to use the washroom. I also tried to be exactly on time when I was outside vaping. I'd be constantly looking at the time on my phone and leave exactly at x time.

I remember I had to use a jackhammer in 100 degree heat, sweat pouring off my face onto concrete, power washing oil sand vacuum tanks (I was 16) and everyone else was getting paid 40 dollars an hour. I asked my boss if I could increase my salary from 11 to 12 dollars and hour and he said "ask the manager" so I asked him and he said "ask your boss" so nothing really happened. It was a billion dollar company.

If I had to go to the doctor, I had to plan in advance and call employees "Can you fill in for me at x time?" - Calling a bunch of numbers and some people didn't give a **** really. It was "team work" and employees were talking about how the company makes them work Christmas day, New Years, etc...

My mom has cancer, heart conditions - Never had time off in two years. She's thinking of quitting. The hotel can't live without her though.

It's all madness. I regret working as a teenager sometimes 16 hours in a day and my days off was to go fishing with my ex step dad who I hated. I felt terrible when he said "If I win the lottery, we'll be fishing all the time" and in my head I was like "Pls ****ing kill me" - Then he won the lottery and has a fishing business but he's getting sued for stealing and copy write etc.

Newtus, have you ever just sat the fiance down and told him what you just said to us, just like that?

That's the thing, I have all the energy in the world. And 5htp is labeled to to whatever serotonin is suppose to do but I've been on ssri's and snri's and it was the worst anhedonia I ever felt. I've never taken a supplement that works.

So my understanding is that fish oil stimulates bdnf....colloquially known as brain fertilizer lol....it’s also part of the make up of the brain.....it only works if you’ve got Brain Roll Call 168 =) damage though so ymmv.

The epa is more for heart and dha is more for your brain.

As far as supplements not working...I know the fish oil works for me, I couldn’t remember where I parked my car or other things like an assignment from two days ago or even two hours until I started taking it. My focus improved dramatically....I could read novels again. It was the only thing I changed. N=1

Also I know my mom took the AERDS vitamins for her eyes due to macular....studies show it helps.

Sarcosine also has been used in trials. The main difference is reliability like is the active ingredient consistent in the supplement and has it been around for 1000s of years so they can’t really patent it. I’ve seen a prescription fish oil now btw.

Yeah, me, too. I will try this sarcosine or however you say it, just to see. Maybe it will help.

Yeah, maybe I am not taking the fish oil the right way or amount or something. Dunno. I def have brain damage, no question about that. There is quite a bit of pretty decent data on sarcosine. Can't believe I had not read about it before. Mayeb 'cuz mostly focused on schizophrenia and I usually read about bp. But I have more in common with you guys in many respects than I do with the average bp bear, as it turns out...
