Roll Call 198

One of my neighbors randomly surprised me with fresh made brownies with strawberry cream cheese topping topped with a strawberry each, plus an eggplant and carton of eggs.

We’re going to the food pantry tomorrow together since she asked if I want to go tomorrow with her. I think she needs my rolling cart to help carry her stuff back which is perfectly fine with me, Ill bring it.

We’re stopping by a place that has free coffee afterwards you can sit there and drink it

My mom was making giambotte yesterday and she managed to cut off half her fingernail while cutting chicken and had to go to the hospital walk in because it was bleeding a lot. But she’s okay. Has a bandaged up finger for a while until the nail grows back.

So I ended up making giambotte but I didn’t take a picture aside from sharing on Snapchat. Anyway, it’s hot Italian sausage, chicken (we used boneless skinless chicken thighs), onions, peppers, potatoes, and oregano. It’s so good. Haven’t had it in a while.

Oh, it was my grandmothers (my dad’s mom) birthday on Saturday. She turned 96 (or as she likes to say 69). I love her. It makes me sad thinking she doesn’t have too too long left. But she’s spry as ever and going to bingo and swimming like nothing.

We’re always getting cute or funny cards for her. We have my dad’s sense of humor.

Tidbit - I’m the youngest grandchild at 34.

Thanks! She ended up not going because she’s still sleeping but I did end up going to the food pantry. I’m sure we’ll hang out some other time. She just sleeps late sometimes because of meds.

I ended up getting 2 big packs of chicken thighs (one with skin and one skinless) which I put in the freezer, a lot of fresh veggies, a container of already cooked chicken wings , a lot of yogurt and fruit, a whole blueberry pie, a Mississippi mud slice, 2 containers of cinnamon chip muffins, potatoes, onions, fresh asparagus, lots of bread (one of the loafs was of pumpernickel), carrots, plus curry carrots, and some other stuff

So I got a lot of cooking to do with the fresh veggies I have

Someone in line at the food pantry was talking about her cats and she said one of her cats names is Macaroni and cheese. That made my day hearing that lol that’s so funny and adorable

Tomorrow is my 2nd day at the volunteer job. It’s the other persons last day, so it’s the last day she’ll be with me showing me what to do. Then I’m on my own starting April 4th. I have an appointment with my psychiatrist tomorrow afternoon after I get home. Very excited to tell her about the volunteer job and the career readiness workshop and my plans.

Great job Blue_Bird!

I felt like crap on Saturday. But I went to food distribution at Church, then errands with my Dad, then a 2 hour nap. On Sunday Mom and Dad weren't feeling well so I went to Church and Bible Study by myself. At Church I saw with an older friend when she wasn't playing the piano. Then we went to Applebee's for lunch afterward. She paid because I asked her if we could go somewhere fast food because I don't have a lot of money until I get paid and she said we could go somewhere nicer and she would pay. Her husband is out of town until tomorrow so it was nice also for her to not be by herself I think. Then when I came home I wanted to take a nap but I ended up taking my Dad to the emergency room. He's okay. He just has a really bad sinus infection that has moved to his ears also so it is making him dizzy. We were there three hours. We picked up food on the way home and then I went to bed straight after. I feel a little better right now. We'll see if it lasts. HUGS to all, Kit

I kind of want to get a pixie cut to fix my hair that I cut , it’s above my shoulders now so the only way to fix it would be to cut it short like a pixie cut. (Professionally) I think I might do that/ get it done this weekend

Okay so eggplant with marinara dipping sauce is amazing, why I've never had eggplant my entire life is beyond me because it's freaking delicious

I’ve managed to go a couple weeks without coffee so far. I might get some while I’m out on Sunday, but just make it an occasional thing instead of an everyday thing
