I'm sorry for whatever is triggering you to do it. I wish I could help. If I can, just let me know.

Realize you aren't alone...........you are very much cared about here.

I'm so sorry that you've started cutting, but it's like anything else...you can always refocus yourself and start over. It's not the end. I have faith in you that you can do it.

I'm going on 3 months without cutting, so I know you can do it. C'mon, you went a year without cutting...YOU CAN DO THIS!

Just think of it this way...every end is a new beginning. Begin again!

Lex and Mary are right, you are not alone and you can refocus and start again. It is easy to be disgusted by the regression but it isn't disgust that you need but self love. Please give yourself the understanding that you would give each one of us. You would give us support and love and an idea of how to move on. Think about what you would tell me if or when I regress.
Take care dear one,
Carrie

fuzzy I am so sorry, I use to do it without even realizing what I was doing was self harm because I didn't cut. But I use to hit myself ect up to a few months ago...

Once I realized what I was doing and after talking to my psychiatrist I am more aware and can stop myself before it happens.

I hope you are doing better.

I'm sorry that you are having struggles right now. We just about made it through the winter though! Now it's starting to turn into spring (is it looking like spring yet where you are?) Trying to stop SI is not all that different from dieting. You know how someone who is doing really great on a diet might slip and eat more of something one day than they thought they ought to, and then they think that their diet is ruined and give up? It doesn't really matter what happens on one day out of many - it is the long haul that makes a difference. One slip does not mean that you have failed. You went a whole year free of hurting yourself! That is really wonderful! I might never be able to say that. I wish that you didn't feel bad. Please give yourself credit for what you have accomplished. started again And have I told you that I just really appreciate your friendship and all the times that we have chatted, and all your teriffic ideas that give me something to think about? I just think you are really neat. started again

<font color=orange>There is an easy answer to your problem that is neat, plausible, and wrong.

Rapunzel,
Your analogy is perfect! I will have to file that down in my memory vault.
