Thank you I will have to see if I can find that. And I read a lot. I've ran out of books. I need to get some more cause I'm getting bored with reading the same ones over and over. And I try not to think of stuff and let everything go but it just doesn't happen.

One thing you could try if you are a worrier is writing down the things you are worried about in a journal. That often times give me some release so I don't have it all building up inside of me. Just a thought. I hope you find something that brings you relief

Thank you. I used to keep a journal but husband made copies of it to try to use against me. That's a long story. I put it on some other posts. So I'm not able to journal anymore.

I take 3mg xanax and a benadryl if needed. It's a bad habit and psychological addiction.

TIME - in that I mean nothing ever remains the same and sleep will eventually return. I was an insomniac for 6 years and on all sorts of meds for it but never made it past two/three hours sleep a night if lucky.

SO I detoxed and went with it, stayed up most nights for the duration or got a few hours sleep and got up at 3.00am but after 6 / 7 months I slowly noticed that my sleep was prolonging. Now 2 years later I get the full 8 hours occassionaly assisted by 7.5mg of zopiclone if I am stressed as it is an anxiolytic and I sleep like a baby. If I do wake up I get up for a few minutes and log onto PC for a bit and then I feel suitably tired and go back to bed.

What I am saying is that things will change, nothing ever remains the same, there is hope.
Thanks for this!

Angie, you should try taking Tylonal PM's, They work for me sometimes, I also have sleeping problems, so dont worry your not alone :] Usually watching a movie before me does the trick. I also have this fan that has this rythum sound to it that helps me fall asleep. You should try getting a fan with a rythum [ I know it sounds wiered, but it works for me haha ] Well, I hope you get some sleep soon! :]

Thank you! I hope it does change. I don't know how in the world I'm still functioning on only a couple hours of sleep per night.

hi angie. i was going to suggest journaling as well but saw what you said about it being read. i wonder if you could do it on your computer and somehow lock the file or email it to yourself or make it password protected or encrypt it. i think there are even sites where you have to log in with a password to access an online journal. oh, i did remember one i'd known about. just click on the first category where it says sacred space to create a private online journal. (just ignore the faith stuff if that isn't your thing. )

i take benedryl to help me sleep. it works pretty well. i just started taking vitamin D supplements (5,000 i.u.-the max you can safely take daily) as i read on my doctor's site that a deficiency can cause one to stay up later and later and i'm a total night owl.

Thank you. I've tried that as well. ( Tylenol pm ) And I usually lay here and watch TV until I finally get sleepy. And I have a fan in my room that I turn on when I try to lay down. And thank you again I hope I get some sleep as well.

Thank you. Yeah he reads it. So I just quit. And I only have internet through my phone. But I will have to go to that website. That sounds like a good one. And I'll have to go get me some of those vitamins. And I used to take benadryl to help me sleep but it got to where it didn't work anymore. I got imune to it I guess.

Hi Angie,
I don't know if this will work but it won't hurt to try. Get a meditation tape or two. And put it on and try to meditate in bed as you're lying down. Don't try to sleep, try to follow the meditation.
That has helped me.

Yoga can reduce your need for sleep as you can learn to "refill" your energy faster - during a deep relaxation.

I have found that eating something before bed, even if its a small something, helps me sleep. Your body is trying to tell you something. Maybe its saying "I'm hungry" I do take a sleeping pill, but sometimes if it doesnt seem to be working, I get up, eat a little something, and ta-dah!!! Im sleeping like a baby.

I hope that you get the Vitamin D tested before taking that much, you may be fine and overdosing yourself. In my situation I was very difficient and I was put on 4000mg of it. I asked how long I needed to do it and they said a long time. So also get as much sun , that the best source of D and coming into the nicer weather I hope my rates improve too.
