I got out of bed (10 am), showered, shampooed, did a few errands and walked Sherman along the bike path. Posted at PC. That's about all I remember. Better times ahead.
Thanks for this!

I saw my pdoc today. She's seeing if I can get approved for Nuvigil by my insurance company. The Tegetol and my sleep problems leave me feeling so tired. Maybe if I can perk up, then I can even get the house cleaned up!

Today I called an agency, 2 months after being referred for outreach services. They told me the referral never went through, that they don't take my insurance. I left a message for a new Pdoc. I had acupuncture, but it doesn't seem to be working. Had 2 walks in the neighborhood with my dog.

sat down this afternoon and drew and then painted with watercolors. Sometimes I punish myself....and don't do things I care about because the tapes in my head say "work', or something like that. Bad tapes still working after so long!.....Like I'm punishing myself...I don't know...

Did laundry, just need to put it away. Took daughter to dance. Went to Wal-mart and bought some supplies for work. Worked on my notes for work. Had a chat with daughter. Going to try and go to bed early.

Good luck with your insurance and the Nuvigil ((((Payne))))

Really sorry about the agency hassles ((((lavie))))) Well done for putting a call in to a new pdoc. I really hope you hear back very soon and that you can get an appointment set up

How awesome that you can paint! (((((Dee))))) I'd love to have a talent like that!! So glad you allowed yourself that pleasure today!

Great job! ((((((Buttrfli))))) Good luck with going to bed early tonight. I need to make more effort to get to bed earlier too!!

Good going!!!!! ((((((((((PleaseHelp))))))))))))) Hope you sleep well tonight!

Today I responded to a batch of emails, including a couple that were way overdue. I went to the natural grocery and treated myself to some Rejuvenating Pink Himalayan Bath Salts. I cooked a healthy supper tonight.

Hugs to all

Tried telling myself these are just thoughts and emotions, tried to disempower them, posted messages at PC, sought info on DBT tools, and cried some more.

Discovered water everywhere seeping into my basement through the floor. Got soaked cardboard boxes out and over to the recycling center. Walked with Sherman at the dog park, and had humorous conversation with another dog owner I'd just met about both our excess accumulation of stained glass supplies and getting rid of it (had to be there, I guess).

Took care of a kiddo even though I was exhausted. I went last night and met with some other parents to discuss child care. Yesterday I answered 12 phone calls dealing with the buying of the house. I went to therapy.

You guys are awesome

I had a kind of weird panic attack thing in bed last night and I had an upset stomach and was in danger of really going off the charts anxiety wise. All kinds of catastrophic thinking going on and just feeling really unwell and the dark thoughts fueling the unwell feelings, and vice versa. I tried really hard to stay with it and after a while I was able to calm myself somewhat. But boy, is it hard to use those skills when the terror you feel inside means you can barely think straight. Practice, practice, practice!!!!

Sundog, I'm sorry you had a rough time last night. Glad you were able to use some of your skills.

Yesterday: I went to work. went to domestic violence group. let dog out. volunteered at a church - that ended up not being a good thing, I got triggered, and started a panic attack that last a good 3 hours; I did try many different coping skills to calm myself but none worked; I finally took a Benadryl so I could get some sleep.
Thanks for this!

Good grief we might be twins.....I am having such a hard time with this anxiety about no job....but no sleep and shaking like a leaf makes it tough to do anything about getting a job.....just a really horrible circle. There is a very real danger that If i don't control this I will lose my home, and don't know how I will feed self and dog.....I don't have friends or family close by and am reluctant to let anyone know how crazy I feel they'll lock me up.

To keep to the thread about the only good thing I did was work in a workbook on mindfullness/cbt, and come here.

Thank you it's good knowing I'm not alone but am sorry you are having such a time as well.
Thanks for this!

(((((((Sundog))))))))) I'm sorry too that you had such a bad panic attack. It seems when those skills are most needed, they're hardest to access. I had therapy and chiropractic, worked an hour on a court investigation that's due next week, left a message for a new Pdoc, and flung balls for Sherman in the back yard. Responded to some messages at PC.
Thanks for this!

Went to conduct an interview for a court investigation, despite not wanting the work anymore, and getting lost twice en route. Tried to visualize myself in healing pink light while having a meltdown driving around lost. Mailed off to my aunt two dolls that she asked me to make several years ago. Listened to meditative music and a bit of Tony Robbins, who annoyed me. Shut off Tony Robbins.

Thanks ((((((PleaseHelp)))))) (((((((((lavie))))))))) and ((((((beachy))))))

I'm so sorry you got triggered at the church you were volunteering at (((((((((PleaseHelp)))))))) Sending you many hugs

Welcome! (((((((((beachy))))))))) It's really good to meet you. I can totally relate to the type of vicious cycle you describe. Ugh. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. I hope we can offer you lots of support. Well done for working with the mindfulness/CBT book

((((((((((lavie)))))))))) Well done for putting a call in to the new pdoc. Hope you hear back very soon. Well done too for working on the court investigation.

Great job!! ((((((((((((buttrfli)))))))))))))))

I started a new project at work and I worked hard on it today. Also made a couple of phone calls and took care of some correspondence.

I diverted the urge to allow my negative feelings and thoughts to overwhelm me and was able to convince myself that I had done nothing wrong and/or I should not beat myself over it. Rather deal with the situation as it happens. It improved my mood significantly, So I think it's something I did right.
