I joined a gym for the first time in three years a couple Fridays ago. It was only because the gym I used to go to before I moved opened one in my town. Super excited. I've been four times, half hour on the stationary bike each time. I'm starting slow and not including strength training just yet. I have to get used to the routine of cardio and then add some more. I've also changed my diet around and am eating less processed food and more whole grains, vegetables, and fruits. I'm thinking of cutting red meat out entirely. I don't really like it anyway.

Today I couldn't go to the gym (no one to watch my son) but I did have carrots and hummus for a snack and a salad with grilled chicken and a tiny bit of dressing for dinner. Breakfast and lunch were more processed and sugary but like I said I'm starting slow.

This is giving me something to focus on since my husband died. I keep vacillating between depressed and angry about it so exercise is giving me a way to get those feelings out.

Back to the gym tomorrow. Trying to go all five days this week because I'm going to a wedding Saturday and staying overnight at the beach and we're going to be bar hopping after the wedding so i am preparing to have a lot of calories that weekend. (Yes I know I shouldn't drink, I only do occasionally).

Great thread. I'm excited to participate.

I went to the YWCA and walked on the tredmill for 5 mins, buy the end my foot was numb. Headed down to the pool and swam 5 laps in like 18 mins. yes I'm slow. Then sat in the hot tub for 20.

Had some juice for breakfast. Tomatoes, celery, a carrot and some spinach. For lunch I had a kids meal at mcdonalds (no bun) and now I'm sitting here eating some gluten free pretzels. I think I'm going to have a juice for dinner, not sure what kind yet though.

I quit smoking almost 2 weeks ago and have had hardly any trouble staying on track. Only a couple of light cravings.

I worked out in the gym once this week. My gym was closed one day this week in all fairness. However I line danced at work today with a group of kids. Next week I will be better on it. This heat is beating me up and making want to be lazy. When I'm out I do walk a lot and I park far away. I need to start drinking more water...fruit water. I cooked squash and zucchini one night it was delicious.

Last week I only worked out two days bc I'd been sick. I worked out yesterday morning for an hour and yesterday evening for an hour. Elliptical and treadmill both times.

I've gone to the gym a few times and taken walks since I've been off work. Eating more vegetables and trying to eat less junk. Since I got my teeth taken out I've been able to stick to that lol because I can't eat any snack type things.

I won't be able to go to the gym this week because my son's school is closed, so I'll have no one to watch him. But I might be able to get out for a walk if he wants to go.

I did no exercise for the past few months, but in the past 7 days i've done 2 runs, 2 yoga classes, and an aerobics class. Trying to turn things around! My body is already feeling more flexible

I worked out yesterday on the elliptical for an hour. Today I worked out for thirty mins on the treadmill for some odd reason I hate it. I can deal with the elliptical but the treadmill is hard for me to stay on for a decent amt of time. I hope to improve this...fingers crossed

I exercised yesterday for forty-five mins and today for thirty-five. I'm trying to challenge myself to lose ten lbs in twenty-two days. No bread, sweet or pasta.

I exercised yesterday for thirty mins elliptical then leg press. Today I did an hr on the treadmill and leg press again. I know ur suppose to do weighs every other day but I have a goal I'm trying to reach and I need quick results. I'll b careful tho. So far I've lost 16 lbs since I started working out in April. I gained 3lbs back and then wanted to lose 10 lbs. as of today I've lost 7 of the 10 lbs.
