I walked around town for about an hour with my boyfriend. This morning I avoided snacking on candy and ate a slice of bread to hold myself over till breakfast.

I finally joined a gym and started exercising! It's been a few years since I have. I went both Saturday and Sunday and did mostly cardio. I'm supposed to meet with a personal trainer this week, so that should help me focus more. And when I went grocery shopping, I actually bought vegetables. That's never happened before. I hate veggies, but I'm trying..

Try green giant microwaveable veggies. They are so good and tasty.

since my therapist insisted, I have started a food log. I have been at least eating a proper meal a day. My 'snacks' too have at least been healthy. She still isn't happy about the volume of food I eat but it has greatly improved from what it was.

This week too I have walked to do my groceries and errands. I didn't want to do it but admit I found it enjoyable once I was out there.
Thanks for this!

I went to the gym yesterday morning. It's just about 4am here now (gym opens at 5 and that's when I usually go) so I'm up and debating whether to go today. Supposed to be a rest day, but I kind of want to attack the rowing machine and see if I can do better than the 20 mins I did the other day.

I joined a group at myfitnesspal.com that also has an app that I downloaded to my Iphone. I can record my calories, meals, daily exercise, etc there. I can also make "friends" on the app and we can support and motivate each other to exercise and lose weight. I exercised three days this week so far, 90 min each time, and have lost 2 lbs. I know it isn't much, but it's a start! I feel better already!
Thanks for this!

Woke up earlier than planned (about 3:00am). Had leftover salmon for breakfast. Went to the gym at 5:00am. Just got back. Feels good to be slipping back into a regular exercise routine again!

Worked out for a half hour (just some cardio and body weight exercises) after work. Determined to get rid of this gross weight I gained over the last year of abusing my body with alcohol, unhealthy diet, and cigarettes.

Three things of note:

I had to cancel the plates on my car, forcing me to walk and take the bus more often. I walk pretty well anywhere - and feel the better for it. The combination of fresh air and physical activity no doubt has benefits for my health but it is the increase in good mental health that is most positive.

My new apartment faces east meaning the open space fills with cheerful natural light. My mood is better as a result and I sleep better too - it is much like the effect of a therapy lamp.

Finally, I am stiving to drink lots of water and eat better.
Thanks for this!
