I've tried the whole eat really healthy thing, but it didn't work because I'd end up feeling hungry and consuming the same caloric intake as before. And I put on 10 pounds.

So i've decided **** it, and I'm doing my own thing (no matter how weird or crazy it is).

Rn I'm solely surviving on beef jerky (aka human dog food). It's really filling to the point were it tricks my body into thinking I had a big meal, and one pack is only 240 calories.

I can totally survive on that alone though, but I figure it's dangerous, so I eat 300 more calories of whatever I want. Note, that I'm really short and basically really sedentary.

Also 1-2 times a week, I get mcdonalds breakfast instead - which makes me end up with 1000 calories at the end of the day, but it's worth it.

As long as I'm not feeling lightheaded or whatever - it seems to be working. I've lost 8 pounds in 3 months. Unconventional, slow, but better than nothing. I want to lose the 30 I gained, however long it takes me to get there.

Ugh. Was doing good until this afternoon when I was HUNGRY. Not just hungry, but HUNGRY. Like I'm going to binge on everything in sight hungry. So I had a bowl of ice cream with chocolate syrup, and I ended up with brain freeze at least my stomach isn't growling. I hate moments like this.

Screwed up my diet tonight with Chinese food. Decided I will just consider it a cheat meal and move on.

Love Bonefish Grill. They have the best rainbow trout.

Breakfast: Almond butter and jelly on a waffle with strawberries and granola, and a slice of ham
Lunch: Leftover Kielbasa Skillet dinner
Dinner: Steak and green beans

Blood sugar is going up and down. Can't do anything about until next week when I see my doc.

I've stayed under 20 carbs for two days but over in calories. I have my period so I just want to EAT. I'm not even hungry, I just want to eat everything in sight! Hopefully that will calm down in the next day or two. I was 200 pounds again on Sunday, hoping to be down a couple pounds by next Sunday. Also hoping I don't give in to temptation on Easter!

Still IP but eating less snacks. Also stopped Sodium Valproate so going for weight loss that I gained while on it. Still on Seroquel though. Going to come off that when I stabilise. Once out of hospital I hope to exercise and lose some of this weight. Admission is dragging on as I've been so unstable.

I think they might be able to lower your dose of seroquel but you definitely need some thing to ensure that you sleep.

Thanks. Once I am stable I tend to sleep fine without any sleeper meds.. I will come off the Seroquel slowly. As it is it only gives me 4-6 hours sleep anyway.

I swore I wouldn't get on the scale until Saturday but I just had to. I'm down four pounds! Now if I can't just stick to it and not majorly cheat I should be able to finally hit 192 in a couple of weeks. If I ever make it to 20 pounds lost I will be so excited!!

This is just what happens to me. I go all out for a couple of months, get frustrated, quit, gain back weight, then recommit. That's why I can never lose weight, I just keep fluctuating.

Headed to the endocrinologist on Tuesday though. I'm hoping if i get the hormone problem treated it will help me lose a bit more weight but we will see! I know it's possible to treat it with meds. And maybe that way I'll be able to stay on the invega and won't risk destabilizing.

Starting next monday(the day after easter)I am going to get serious about working on myself.
I did make an appointment to see a recommended PT for my elbow, hip, neck, si joint, I start wednesday and will be paying privately for care. My body is a mess and I know that I need help. and it will be expensive but it is my lively hood and life and I need it.
I am sick of this weight. F****** hate it!
Starting monday I am not going to drink. I am going to shoot for 30 days. Maybe I can lose 5 pounds in 30 days?
I will sleep better, and lose weight.
If I am going to spend hundreds of dollars on therapy, mental and physical, then drinking is like sabotaging all of that.
I was back to sneaking drinking again.
sigh
had a good lunch: veggie quiche and chard and squash.
Looking forward to the blue grass concert. Jeff said he would go with me though he is mad at the leader of the band.
Plan to have pork chops and veggies for dinner and either tabouli or veggie soup, 2 of those items not sure. will see what jeff wants.

I did good for breakfast but had a Smashburger and fries for lunch. So bad it's good. Back to steak and a vegetable for tonight.

I checked my weight a couple days ago. I've lost another 10 pounds. Metformin and a low carb diet are the bombs.

I'm trying to change my diet around and eat healthier foods because I got Kidney Stones over the summer of last year. Been drinking a lot of water now and I stopped drinking caffeine.

Off sodium Valproate so hoping to lose weight now, although the seroquel doesn't help. Trying to snack less but it is so hard with seroquel. Want off that med asap.

Going to start meal prepping Sunday or Saturday. One of those days. I got the containers and my groceries will be delivered tomorrow. I've even got my meals all planned out on paper, well it's a app. This is the start to a healthier me. Going to start some kind of excercise routine as well. That's the plan anyhow.

Have any of you tried the GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) diet? I am thinking about giving it a go. It is supposed to help with many of the bipolar symptoms I have.

My weakness is French fries! I was craving a chicken cheese steak with fries tonight so bad. I've yet to find an acceptable low carb alternative to fries. So instead of going out I made a chicken cheese steak with no bun at home from chicken steak umms. It was good. Nice to know I have another quick dinner to go to when I don't feel like cooking. I might try rutabaga fries...I saw a recipe for them. I just have to find a rutabaga lol.

I found Smirnoff spiked sparkling seltzer today. 90 calories and 1g carb per drink. I grabbed it and am going to try it tonight. Feeling getting a buzz but not feeling liquor. I'm probably only going to have a couple. Spring break is almost over, gotta party while I can!

I'm headed to friendly's again tomorrow with my son and FIL. my FIL is untreated schizoaffective and very difficult to deal with. I try to only see him every three months or so. I only see him because my son is his grandson and after I yelled at him last summer he has stopped saying inappropriate things around my son. I may stress eat and order bad food but for now my plan is to get a chicken bacon ranch salad.

I'm also planning on staying low carb on Easter. I'm curious to see how much weight I can lose with two weeks of no cheats. I lost six pounds total this week. If I lose two more next week I will have hit 20 pounds total loss from Jan 2!

I was out of town this afternoon seeing Pat, he owns a restaurant and always feeds me afterward so I had broiled snapper with stuffing and baked potato....it was ok.
came home around 6 to go straight to trivia at whole foods..
my new friend melissa was there with her hubby brian and jeff were at the bar instead of a table. so I joined them. Quiet night for trivia, 6 teams total we came in 5th...lol
I am to create a collage of my goals for the next 5 years. I asked mellisa if she had any magazines and she will look thru hers for me.
I work tomorrow out of town for the day.
starting at *am will have to leave the house at 7;15am.
So need to get to bed early. will see 7-8 clients so that is a really busy day with a half hour break for lunch, mcdonalds oatmeal yum!
I did not do my morning bed stretches today. felt too lazy for them.
too lazy for 5 min!!!!2017 New diet thread, come join!
