LOL thanks, usually divas are ladies (I think ) I am doing Jamie Eason's LiveFit program (just google that!)

The cauliflower recipe is so easy!
1- Rice a head of cauliflower.
2- Microwave 4 min, mixing halfway through.
3- Squeeze excess water out with a towel.
4- Add 2 eggs, salt and pepper to taste.
5- Spread into 6 tortilla shapes on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
6- Bake at 375 for 10 minutes or until the edges start to brown.

yesterday was not so good...

breakfast:
coffee, oatmeal w/ raspberries

lunch:
salad with falafel and humus (which *sounded* healthy when I ordered it but later discovered it had 650 cals :/ -- I would have rather had an ice cream)

"snack":
another coffee with cream and sugar

"pre-dinner":
- moscow mule (worth it)
- 1/2 a fried green tomato burger...

dinner:
- leftover lentil stew with light sour cream and slice of bread

I'm feeling pretty gross because I haven't had any physical activity (still recovering from migraine) + PMS. I think I'll stay in my stretch pants today.

Gumbo and coleslaw for lunch.
Not sure about dinner yet.
Hubby is out of town for a gig.
I just may go to whole foods again.
Have not been cooking.
Not sure I remember how to do that!

Been exercising a bit, trying to lose the Seroquel weight, but have been eating too much sugary foods so not helping myself. Coming off ritalin has made me into a hungry, hungry hippo. Still, i have lost 1kg from coming off Seroquel and am happy with that. Just need to lay off the snacks. Still IP so restricted. I do 20 laps of the ground floor at a fast pace. Takes 20 minutes, It's something I guess.

I was on 400mg. Hopefully the lower dose won't have the same effect. Good luck!!

I don't know how long exactly it has taken me to gain 30 lbs but I have. Maybe two years or so. I feel awful. A friend and I used to work out all of the time. In the last year and a half or so, I have not been motivated to do much of anything with regards to getting exercise. And my diet is terrible. Thought I would jump in on this thread to give me some motivation. I have to do something. Can't afford new clothes, lol, and my blood work was not so good in January. Started off today positive with a healthy breakfast. Fruit and yogurt (with natural sweeteners) and coffee. I too have to remember how to cook again.

welcome to this part of PC bipolar forums.
Good breakfast!

I had 3 scrambled eggs with spinach and a side of black bean salsa over the eggs and a side of brocolli.
We eat at a diner most sundays...this is what I eat when I am being good.
We are going out of town tonight and are going to one of our favorite places to eat.
The Chimes, it has delicious new orleans style BBQ shrimp. think butter pepper sauce. with a corn grit cake. yummmy!!!!!
Think I will pass on the beer. Too many calories! That is what got me into trouble this past year, I have a beer gut! Not attractive on a gal!

Dear Friends,
I have been sitting too much and have injured my hip muscles. I am saying good bye. Please keep up the diet thread.
I appreciated all of the support you have given to me over the past few months.
I am in PT and just ordered a book and DVD to learn how to strengthening my hip muscles.
Wish me luck in this journey.
I also need to lose 30 pounds.
Am going thru a medication change.
I have a good friend from another bipolar site that we keep in daily contact so I won't be alone. Plus I have my hubby to watch over me. I am hoping that I don't go manic on the change from geodon to abilify. I also see a therapist and have a good pdoc.
Thanks again for the support and I hope to be back in the future.
I have an internet addiction so this is best to say good bye.

I am still doing low carb and calorie counting.
Have lost 35 lbs this calendar year, which is great because I've been very depressed and I usually gain with depression.

However, I am at the point where I feel I am hitting a plateau and am having trouble losing more. The loss has slowed down a lot even though I have kept my calories very low. We'll see what happens.

I have heard somewhere sometimes you have to reboot. so if you have consistently kept your calories very low , go a few days high carb/fat/calories then start again. I don't know if it works though!

I have read this, too. I've also read staggering higher carb/high cal meals throughout the week can help. I tried it two days ago and I've been feeling hungry since. I wasn't feeling hungry before. Oh well! Time will tell!

A friend of mine followed the south beach diet for 2 weeks and lost weight. Maybe you could switch it up?
I think she had 6 small meals thru ought the day. I could not do that.
But then again I have to do something different if I want to change.

Binged for another two weeks when I lost my job. Back on the low sugar low carb train. Not looking to lose weight, just to be healthier.

I seriously want to binge on chips right now but thankfully I got rid of the high carb stuff. Not even popcorn. Just Doritos for my son and I don't like Doritos. So that solves that.

I know I'll just keep doing this binge cycle. It's my pattern. I'd like to break it but I just don't have the willpower. I just convince myself that I "deserve a break".

Hope I can stick to it for awhile. I had my A1C checked again and I'm waiting for the results. If it's still high maybe that will kick my *** into eating better :-/

Met with a trainer at reds the health club that I go to and she was very good and paid a lot of attention to me and my form using the weights. She was very conservative, scared to give me too much as I have a hip injury. She gave me 6 machines to use. She is almost finished with OT school.

Had veggie lasagna and chard and beets for lunch
stopped at whole foods and had 3 beers and 2 oz of cheese.
4 oz salmon with small amount of lentil rice. and a lot of edemame.
It was very good.
But the three beers probably had at least 600 calories so not good.
tomorrow is another day. I need to stop drinking....

New jeans again today!
I have lost 35 lbs this calendar year.

I am counting calories and keeping my daily caloric intake below the calories needed for my "basal metabolic rate." BMR calculators are online, just do a search if interested.

I had gained a lot of weight on meds, so I will continue with this eating lifestyle, as I have more to lose. In the end, this approach should keep a stable weight simply by re-calculating the formula.

I was once told: "No matter which diet you follow, remember, a calorie is a calorie." Turns out it's true. We can overeat on very healthy diets.

I am in a depression and usually gain wt. Using this method, I am losing.

Thanks for the support.
Thanks for this thread, Bizi.

once my rib feels better I can exercise again and hopefully get the hot summer bod I been imagining!
