Made and ate delicious food at work
Went to my counselling appointment
Actually took care of my beard! (comb, wash, oil, comb)

Doing better now that I am home.

Showered.
Clipped nails.

Called my PC doc and asked for an updated refill on my inhalers.
(Have a respiratory virus or now post-viral issues with breathing.)

Saw my pdoc.

Did a couple of hours of errands.

Went to bed upon getting home; still very tired from viral infection.

Checked into PC.

Had a shower and completed basic hygiene.
Had company; someone I really love and she is also loads of FUN!

Had a nice lunch of carrot-ginger soup, fresh veggies w/hummus!

Resting to get over a viral infection. Taking meds.

Slept lots... like 15 hours or more.
Going to take a shower and get clean clothes on and more sleep.
Taking my meds, not exactly my favourite thing to do but still self-care.
that's me today.

Great! Smiling can both change our mood and can change the way others interact with us.

Shower!!

That's about the extent of it, unless you count coloring as self care. Then I did that. Oh, and I guess work even though I don't have to work on weekends.

yay!
you took a shower!
so did I, just did not wash my hair. Used a shower cap. The shower was like in and out in 5 minutes it was awesome. Maybe with the shower cap I will shower more often! I used to shower/wash my hair every 4-5 days...I always tell the hair ladies 2 x a week. They don't need to know that it is only 5-6 times per month!!!!

I'm drinking Gatorade despite a God-awful stomach bug, not throwing up, tons of diarrhea (sorry, TMI). I weighed myself and lost 5 lb. of water weight since I woke this morning. So yeah.

I have felt better.

Trying to stay hydrated, drinking more than I want of water & Gatorade. Going to attempt some toast soon.

I ache all over, doesn't feel like fibro pain. Maybe a stomach flu. Very shaky. Food will help if I can get it down without vomiting though I haven't thrown up. But I haven't eaten today either, unless you count Gatorade & water.

I went through one dresser drawer stuffed with T-shirts & other shirts, short & long sleeved (mostly T-shirts). There were a couple of throwaways (holes in the clothes), probably nearly 1/3 to donate (just don't think I could manage a garage sale), and nothing is name brand anyway.

I tried everything on, except a few shirts that were worn recently and knew I liked. I had a lot of "OMG, what was I thinking??!" items, but they were in good enough shape to donate.

Now, I am washing things, hoping I can get wrinkles out of these clothes. Not sure how long they've been in the drawer, but a good estimate is 2 years at the minimum. Trying some online tips first, and I hope too much will not need ironing. I hate ironing. And there were some shirts in there I know I need to hang.

I actually have a lot of clothes to go through, but baby steps. At least I will have one drawer sorted & organized.

You're right. It can be something as simple as a shower, or brushing your teeth.

I had to go to my nephrologist today (semi-annual visit). I took a shower and did other self care before I went. I think I looked fine. My husband liked my outfit. I actually chose it because it was very light, so my weigh-in wouldn't be as bad.

On my way home, I stopped at a comparitively upscale grocery store to pick up just a couple things. They just so happened to be having a special event. There were so many gourmet free samples. It was pretty nice. One guy giving free grilled steak samples was hot! That was actually the only product I bought that I sampled. It was actually a cancer awareness event and 10% of sales went to the cause. They also distributed lots of interesting info, including a free paperback book about cancer fighting diets. They also gave every customer a free carnation. I participated in a raffle. I doubt I'll win, but I was happy to give a little contribution. Both my mom and mother-in-law died of cancer, and many friends have been affected, too.
