The gas stove is hotter than our old electric one - getting used to it. I bought a natural gas detector and put it next to the stove just to be on the safe side. That detector is expensive!

Anxiety's still high, but I'm coping somehow. I had coffee for the first time in weeks.

Like Pinny, I hope all are well or soon to be.

Yes, I'm thinking Sapien is IP.

Occasionally, Mountaindew takes a break. I hope he's okay.

Definitely sounds like a reasonable guess.

Coping with anxiety is (to me) very difficult. Good for you for doing it! That's major.

An excellent idea to install the natural gas detector. I have a fear about a gas leak. Once, when my daughter was 7 I left her in the house for just 10 minutes while I dropped my son off at a friend's house nearby. When I came back, my daughter said she didn't feel well. She looked grey. As soon as I had stepped into the house I smelled gas. I took my daughter outside, then I called the gas company to send someone out...turned out there was a stopped-up something or another and there was a gas leak. That scared the daylights out of me! I've been very aware of a potential gas leak ever since.

Oo Beth, how scary. I’m glad your daughter was ok.

Mum and I watched the Babe movies. Plus I made some chocolate chip cookies 🍪 for a snack. It’s been a relaxing day. Plus tonight is our favorite line up on PBS. Today was a very good day.

Thanks @BethRags! Just going day to day, holding out until I see my pdoc on Tuesday.

I'm glad your daughter was ok, thanks to your quick thinking!

We just had our gas line upgraded this past summer because the existing one was too small to support the long line we needed for the new stove line so everything's new.

Return to Crawford. Set in England, the 1700’s I think, with Judi Dench

Around the world in 80 days with David Tennant. They are in the old west this episode.

All Creatures Great and Small. Yorkshire England 1940’s

Vienna Blood, about a Freudian doctor and a cop in Vienna in, oh I don’t know the 1800’s?

It snowed all day but thankfully the streets were too warm from it being in the low to mid fifties for a few days to stick. I must be careful driving my son to school tomorrow though, it’s going down to 14 degrees tonight so any moisture will turn to ice on the roads. I’m lucky to live on a street situated between two main roads so all I have to do is make it half a block in either direction and I’m fine. It’s going to be so cold tomorrow and Tuesday and then by Thursday it will be 63! I can’t believe people don’t think climate change is a thing.

I have been depressed off and on all day. I did not go out to buy vape pods because I didn’t want to leave the house. That’s great, actually. It forced me to conserve the one I had left. I’m not ready to quit completely but I have drastically cut down in order to NOT kill my asthmatic cat. I only do it in the car when I’m alone and only a few puffs here or there in the house. I’m training myself not to reach for it after meals automatically. Stopping during my commute will be the hardest, I think. But I think I can do it, eventually.

I wasn’t restless today at least. Maybe I was just coming down from my temporary “spring weather” induced high.

I have Friday off and my boys do not so I will have the whole day to myself. I am quite excited. I will clean the house but not nonstop. I’m planning on bleaching the tips of my hair and then dyeing all my hair blue again. The xmondo worked well and turned up on my medium brown hair but it has washed out and I’d like a bit of brighter blue as well. I figure I’ll bleach my tips because if I ruin it somehow I can just go to the salon and get it cut off. I’m used to bleaching my own hair though. I’m not perfect but I think I’ll be good enough to do that little bit.

I made my hubby crepes this morning. I went for it and made a full batch of 15 small ones. I'll freeze some and keep the rest for tomorrow. We only ate four total this morning. I have my therapy today. I had canceled my last appointment for the Austria trip.

Happy Valentine's Day to all! My husband and I exchanged cards, but have skipped presents. I might get new flowers. If not, that's okay as I still have tulips on the table that look nice.

I have this feeling of spring in the air. In the past, I have developed spring mood elevation as early as February, but usually at least by April. My meds have already been increased this year for hints of it. Today I feel quite good, but nothing concerning so. Last year I didn't have this feeling. We were in the midst of the move in with high stress and I was still dealing with minor injuries. I'm glad that's in the past.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!!

Well I’ve been signed off work for another 2 weeks. I’m going to contact occupational health today to get a phased return to work which means I’ll just start really slowly!

I’m glad I won’t be back until I see my pdoc. That way I can check in with her, go over my symptoms and decide whether the time is right for work.

I hope everyone is having a lovely day!

Sounds like a good plan. I was never able to return to full-time work right away. I always returned part-time, initially.

Well I did it. I called the mechanic. They’re coming to pick it up after 1pm. Then they can listen to the groaning brakes and what sounds like a broken fan belt as they drive it. I just hope it’s a reasonable fix. Ouch cars are so expensive. Still I’m glad my credit card limit just went up.

Well the good news it’s not near the limit of my card but ouch 😣 it’s a pricy fix. He said a lot of technical stuff but the part I understand is that it’s a mess. It probably has been going on a bit but I couldn’t hear it till it got bad. Gotta have a car so need it fixed. This of course means not art classes. I really did want to do that.

Oh, I hope it's an easy fix! Yes...cars are so darn costly. But they're sure nice to have.

I just saw your second post. Grrr, I'm so sorry it'll be so costly. And I'm very, very sad for you about the art classes. I wish cars and art classes were not so expensive.

Hair is such fun! Enjoy! Have I mentioned Iroiro? The stuff sticks. Reminds me of the fabulous Hair Fudge that was around in the '90's.

Got my car back. Boy they did a lot. Brake pads, rotors, belts and calipers. Had to fix the alternator drive belt too. Looking at my papers I’m surprised it drove. Glad so glad I called. They picked it up and dropped it off. Even backing into the garage the way I prefer it. So thankful for my credit card! Didn’t have one for the longest time.

I do most the work on my vehicles myself. Like a couple of years ago my water pump went out the shop wanted $900 to fix it and I did it for under $200 and that included some new pulleys and stuff.

Oh I wish but I haven’t any tools. Back in the good old days when cars didn’t have computers for everything I could do a lot. I even changed out a radiator once. But now days I get confused if I look under the hood. All you needed back then was a good set of wrench’s and screwdrivers.
