I’ve been in my apartment all day for two days and here it is Monday and I’m still in my pjs! I need to get out and go get my tea and the right soy milk. On Friday they brought the wrong milk. It’s been 4 days since I interacted with anyone.

There’s a blizzard coming Tuesday night. Oh great! Gotta get my car moved to the lower lot. I was so hoping the snow was done.

Tomorrow I have a T appointment at 8:45, that should be interesting. I haven’t gotten up before 10am in months. Then a pdoc appointment at 12:45. So I’m just going to take a book and my phone and hang out at the clinic for both appointments. That’s assuming I make it to the first one!

Gotta go get my tea and move the car.

I’m okay. Not really looking forward to work today. Have to read the riot act to my classes. Especially my Year 9s who made far too much noise last session. I’m hoping for a more calm lesson today. I hate the one classroom I teach in. It’s so cramped and there’s no space to move anyone if they misbehave. It’s challenging. And they’re a high achieving class so they get good results. They shouldn’t be behaving like that. If I give them recess detention it means I don’t get a break because I’m teaching period 1-4 and recess is after period 2.

I got the left contact in. Then the right one was bothering me. So I took that out and put it back in 15 minute laters. But all morning my eyes felt like they were sunburned. My mom said they looked great. I finally took the contacts out half an hour ago and I have my glasses on. My eyes feel fine now.

I'm just chilling today but I am bored.

I told my therapist about my dream about me and the guy. She didn't seem phased by it. I've had plenty of women therapists freak when they find out I like women. Then they start acting weird. But shes cool about it.

Man am I bored today. Why won't something happen.

Spring flowers are starting to bloom here already A bit early, but the weather's all messed up, nice to see them. And our day lilies we have planted around the house are greening up and looking like they survived the "big" snowstorm of Jan. 2025!

Contacts can be hard to wear, especially if you're not used to them, and some people's eyes are more sensitive than others. I wore contacts since I was in 5th grade, and those were the hard type; it felt like I had pennies on my eyes when I put them in for the first time, but somehow I got used to them, wore them throughout college, then switched to soft lenses, so much better! After my cataract surgery, I don't need contacts at all just drugstore reading glasses (though I can get by without those in a pinch) and that feels even better.

My middle sister wore soft contact lenses, had Lasik, then was without lenses for awhile, needed corrective vision again some years later, and she tried contacts, and said they were just too uncomfortable, her eyes too dry, she switched to glasses. That's one thing: are you drinking enough water because if you are dehydrated or taking a medication that can dehydrate you (such as mucinex, certain antihistamines such as Claritin, Benadryl). And I'm not sure what blood pressure med you are on but some of those can cause dehydration too. If you are dehydrated, yeah, you will have dry eyes and trouble wearing contact lenses even if you remove them and clean them and put them back in with fresh solution.

Good afternoon! I slept 13 hours last night plus a 2 hour nap right before that so 15 hours 😮

Anyway I definitely needed it.

I went grocery shopping today and got stuff to make chicken enchilada casserole which I’m currently making in my crockpot.

And I got these DBT cards delivered today. I’m hoping they’re helpful they definitely seem like they will be. There’s 125 of them plus a booklet that goes with it. They have the names of the skills on the front of the cards and in depth practices and whatnot on the flip side

Great sleep @Blue_Bird! Those look like awesome cards!

I never really figured out what is the difference between CBT and DBT?

Ha ha, a sideways plank! 😂

I wrote down everything I needed so today when I went out I got it all. Just two stores, Walmart and hobby lobby. Of course the things I needed were in the back of the stores. Thank goodness for carts. I can get away without using my cane as long as stores have carts.

Just waiting on my how to art books to come. Have sketch books and a small sized watercolor pad. Had to go today because they are now saying 4-8 inches of snow tomorrow night! Had to park out back and take the steps up.

Tomorrow for my T and P-doc appointment I’m taking the bus. It goes door to door. The parking is awful over there.

Muddy!!! Congratulations 🎊 finally you’ve been waiting on this for so long! Congratulations!

Sometimes I just want to scream because no one fuking elected him. Like it really really pisses me off.

Kinda having a hard time tonight for no reason besides the eyes hurting badly issue. I just had a protein bar for dinner so I feel kinda better.

But I've been a bit emotional all day and I'm not sure if its because its physically easier because my eyes keep watering on their own. Idk. That ice skater who lost both his parents in the plane crash really was heart breaking though

I'd be interested in those. Never hurts to know DBT. You are like my son. Hell sleep for 13 hours at a time as well. And if I remember correctly you sometimes drink a lot of coffee and get paranoid. Is that correct?

I don’t typically sleep 13 hours. Typically I sleep 6-8 hours a night. That was just a one off weird time because I felt like crap. I don’t get paranoid from coffee you might be thinking of someone else

At least I haven’t in a long time. I’m much better at moderating my caffeine intake now.

@Iloveanimals25 When I sleep (which isn't certain) I sleep 12-13 hours thanks to being on 2 APs and several other sedatives. I don't drink coffee but gave up caffeine many years ago partly (but only a small part) because it was causing paranoia. I don't talk about any of that a ton but maybe you're thinking of me? I think I did post something about it not that long ago.
