@HALLIEBETH87 15-30 page papers!? That must have taken forever!

@Blue_Bird exciting about the keyboard! Are you still reading Harry Potter? If so, which book are you on? I'm currently on the 4th book.

@Crazy Hitch my school recently had a few suspensions too. Three students were suspended in a two day period-all three were connected to the same incident.

Nice that you get snacks @June08. We had state testing about 2 weeks ago and all the students got were icy poles when they were finished. Staff definitely didn't get anything lol.

That’s awesome! Im still on the first one lol I get distracted very easily and I detoured into another book for awhile but I’m gonna get back into it tonight! Thanks for reminding me, the 4th one is one of my favorites. That one and the 5th. I’m hopeful that rereading old favorites helps me with the reading slump I’ve been in. Been having a hard time focusing and finishing books. But I’m gonna read more of the 1st one before bed tonight

I took a 2.5 hour nap this afternoon while listening to classic rock. I couldn't wake up and I kept drifting off every time I tried waking up. I think its a Sunday thing. I had some immitation crab for dinner. I'm just trying to ignore everything going on.

I came home from church and slept so deeply for 3 hours that I missed many phone calls from my mom wondering where I was and didn’t hear N3 buzzing the door. I guess the phone finally woke me up! I was supposed to be at a family get together an hour prior. And we just had a severe storm. 80 mph winds and lots of rain and hail. I shut me and the cat in the bathroom - no windows- and waited it out. The Wi-Fi went out bfriefly and the lights flickered a few times but we got really lucky! There’s a watch for another storm till 10.

We have Harry Potter on repeat in my house. Its on all the time for noise. Its on right now. The 5th movie was on in the waiting room on Thursday and the guy sitting behind me said "I don't know this show." Lol.

No one in my house has even read the books besides me. The movies only tell like half of the story.

My fat grumpy orange cat is named Crookshanks. I had a tuxedo cat named Remus for a bit until he got sick.

Yes, just finished here too. I’d no idea England had hard core fundamentalists! I thought they all immigrated to here. Now I’m watching tracker which is running late thanks to sports having a different idea of what time is. Turning into a good night for watching TV.

11:30 and not asleep. Guess that 3 hour nap wasn’t a good idea? I felt like I desperately needed to sleep though.

So I'm going to do University of people with Sophia vs 90 credits from Sophia and 10 classes from the completion degree school. It'll take longer but maybe cheaper in the long run. I'm not dependent on financial aid there. But can "only" take up to 4 classes each term (9 week period). Where the other one is as many as you can finish in 8 weeks. I'm hoping my motivation will come back. I really need to start working but it looks like that'll be in about 2.5 years vs. 6 months. But I can afford it slowly if it's all on me. It may take as long as 8 years but at least I'm working towards it.

I don't know. I see my pdoc Tuesday and I don't know what to say. I have T tomorrow and I'm going to tell her about the school situation. honestly I just want not to worry about having to move immediately when Victoria moves. I want to pay our back bills, not just minimum payments. I'm so over my head with payments. We have very little real food but we have rice, eggs, yogurt, protein shakes. I was going to buy tacos and chicken w. Salad and a few other things but it came up too expensive so I gave up. We'll eat this stuff until it's gone and then see how many pennies we have for food. This month sucks because I had to pay for my bottom teeth and a water pik.

I hope everyone is well.

Right now it's too hard to go through everything. I'm sorry.

Well I keep finding more things my old caregiver stole. I was way too trusting. My old caregiver was so kind and I trusted her that with this last one I told her she could just come in. I left the door unlocked and I was having her wake me up. I know completely dumb of me.

I think she was coming early and doing it. The first thing I noticed was my ziplock containers turned up missing. I use them for storage and bowels. She only took 3. Then I had a green laundry basket on top of a blue one. We got busy with other things. Forgot about it. One of my new towels but I didn't realize until I had fired her. What happened last Thursday I had to have her go to the store to pick me up a few things bc my order was under 35 dollars she couldn't do pickup. She was mad about that and left with an attitude. I had told her to call me to tell me what all was in the hot food. She says only fried chicken and chicken tenders. So I get a hold of the deli and ask them to tell me some things in the hit food area. I then called her and tell her the deli named a lot food in it. I then ask her where is the green basket? Where are the dirty dishcloth? Where is the change on the table. It was under ppwk. It was gone. Oh she took some 300 mg gabapentin.

I said YOU ARE FIRED! She did drop off the groceries.

From now on I will have them just call and call. I will wake up. I have an interview with someone tomorrow. I'm excited! The only thing is she is allergic to cats and so she won't want to pet Jayden and it hurts his feelings.

This weekend my best friend came over and Saturday my bil and sister came over to start working on my closet. He's a fan of the orange man but she's not into politics. The orange one is ruining this country. I'll stop talking about him.

I hope everyone is doing as well as they can. Big hugs to anyone struggling right now. 🤗

I’m doing okay today. A little bit sad but out of bed being productive. My sister came over this weekend to help around the house. I was and am so grateful. The only snafu is that she can be loud (yells) and abusive when she doesn’t get her way. Very controlling. My big communication win this weekend was that I remained calm and untriggered, stood my ground, kept my boundaries and looked for a compromise. Usually, I would yell back or totally withdraw. I’m healing and growing! The bit that made me sad was that she yelled “Do you want to know why everybody in the family wants nothing to do with you?” Ouch! That hurt.

Mom and I are going to venture out today for a loaded baked potato and house salad at Outback and then to Verizon for a phone and an Apple Watch. Hopefully the rain will stop soon.

I hope everybody has a peaceful day.

I'm back!

Survived chaos, heartbreak, the death of a friend, food poisoning, pneumonia, a business opportunity that wasn't profitable enough for me, an aborted business trip, canceled plans to travel to Vancouver, canceled plans to play in a Scrabble tournament at a grand cottage out of town with 30 others, and lost a bunch of money on the flight despite buying cancellation insurance (never book with "cheapoair.com"), etc., etc., etc.

The heartbreak was the really painful thing. I've know the guy i'll call "S" for six months. I've been attracted to him socially as he is extremely gregarious. I got to know him fairly well about a month ago. We flirted for two weeks. He invited me over to his apartment, where we would be alone together. But i forced his hand and he revealed that he had a girlfriend. Crash and burn.

Now i'm suffering from exhaustion and am under doctor's orders for complete rest. The pneumonia meds are miraculous, i feel so much better physically. But my sleep has been shot to sshhiitt for three months, and it's taken a toll. I have to relax, and recuperate, so writing on the forum again is a good option while i take my time in my physical recovery.

Nice to see everyone again and i will catch up on the thread later today.

Jane.

I'm up for my 2 hour time I always wake up.

Oh I forgot that she texted me Thursday night and said that I told her to throw away the green hamper bc I didn't need it. I need it. I'm dealing with tons of clothes. I did report her and they weren't that worried about the stolen items, but asked me if she talked about other clients. She has one that lives with her. She lives in a tiny trailer and she talked about how she couldn't stand him and bought him a smaller one to get a break from him. He's pretty disabled. I think she neglects him. Poor guy. She talked about her other client but she's private pay so there's nothing they can do about that. I noticed last night that she stole paper towels. My friends are like what odd things to steal. But I think she was just hoping I wouldn't notice.

Oh well time to move on.

@JaneOnceMore Great to hear from you!

@iloveanimals - So sorry about your caregiver stealing from you; that's awful!

HUGS to everyone struggling right now.

I had a good morning other than I'm a little tired. I think it's allergies again. That or I'm on the 12th day of my stupid period. And even though I'm not bleeding much, it's still red blood, and it's been 12 freaking DAYS already!

I still took my power walk, showered, read with the SAD lamp, had breakfast, did a load of laundry, put out the trash for trash day. Drawing was fun today. I drew 4 pictures; well, one was just a practice of drawing the male torso; people are so hard for me to draw. This time I drew an eye mostly with fine Sharpie markers. I LOVE drawing eyes!

Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

I almost named my black lab mix Sirius but I went with Elliot instead since ET is one of my favorite movies.
