My last day with students went well. Only half of my homeroom actually came to school, which makes sense since the school day is so short. We just hung out before and after Mass. This school year was tough. I really struggled to build rapport with this group of students, especially my homeroom. I'm trying not to overthink it. Some years are just like that I suppose. I still have a few work commitments for teacher work week next week, but nothing much.

Some coworkers got together after school, so that was nice.

Now that school's out, I'll be getting into a danger zone with my mental health. With so much down time, it's a perfect situation for anxiety, depression, and SI to flood my brain. With the school day, it was a guaranteed distraction 5 days a week. At the same time, I am ready for summer vacation and for a fresh start next school year since I'm not the happiest with how this one went. I really miss teaching PE, which is what my degree is in. Maybe, one day I'll have the health to get back to teaching PE.

Thanks lady shadow. Physically I’m fine. Mentally I’m still pretty low. I had a couple of good days but still have trouble concentrating and being in the moment.

Today’s weather was beautiful but I didn’t go out. I did go down stairs for a bit, played 10,000. But most of the day I’ve been online and watching tv at the same time. Not really following anything. Just watched conclave. But had to google Wikipedia to follow it.

The movie or Leo's?

I kinda wish my uncle Leo was still alive for this. Hes only been gone a few years. But he woulda been late 90's now.

The 2024 movie, it was on one of the streaming services my daughter got for me. I don’t watch them much but there’s nothing on the free tv on Friday nights. I don’t navigate the Roku too well. Like I used to be able to choose what episodes I want to watch, now everything starts from season one episode 1! Huh? Kind of like how my patient portal wouldn’t let me message my Dr. I had to call to give info over the phone. What a pain. I hate making phone calls. I’m a Luddite I guess.

Man do I feel sick right now. Everything aches and I have this sore throat and cough.

My neighbor is out there slamming her car doors. My old neighbors would have called the cops on her awhile ago but my mom doesn't want to get involved.

After going on reddit, its the antibiotic. But they can turn into sepsis if left untreated. So I'll have to deal with it.

At least I think its the antibiotic it feels like covid with the severe muscle aches and cough.

@LadyShadow I hope you enjoy your movie! I’m actually going to see the Lilo and Stitch movie next Tuesday, I’m excited because I used to love watching the Lili and Stitch cartoon growing up so it’ll be cool to see the live action one

Good morning all, sorry I haven’t gotten a chance to respond to many posts yet, yesterday I was pretty out of it most of the day due to the dissociation. Hoping to catch back up on the posts today.

Plans for today are to:

-Walk to the library to pick up a request
-Shower
-Study/practice chess strategies
-Start working on a painting example for the painting class I’m going to be teaching. I also need to come up with a good way to show/guide people in their paintings. I’ve never taught anything to anyone before so I’m not really sure how to go about it but I’ll figure it out
-Play some of my videogame

I was excited when I got up today, I caught a shiny pokemon on pokemon go

Been at starbucks since 7. Waiting for Robert to wake up and meet me here. Talked with N3 for quite a while on the phone- 40 minutes! We’ve always been able to have good conversations- except when he tries to explain his university classes to me. Then it goes straight over my head! Didn’t sleep well and now I’m full of coffee so no sleep in the plans for today.

My mom is going to ask the pharamacy if my symptoms are a normal side effect of an antibiotic. Its just this bad pain in my back and difficulty walking. I'm trying to just sleep it off.

Took my walk to the library and picked up my request. Currently at 4,708 steps according to my Fitbit. Hoping to hit 10,000 today but we’ll see. It’s kinda harder now that the treadmill isn’t working. I might take another walk later , a short one. Then whatever chores I do around the house should put me around 10,000.

I feel really good today. Pretty high energy. Spent some time studying my chess strategy book. I’m gonna vacuum today, my apartment really needs it. The cats track litter all over the carpet all the time.

Took a shower. Feel pretty good. Gonna call my friend today and check on her. She’s 85 and has health issues so I call every now and then to check on her and see if she needs anything like her trash taken out or anything.

Change of plans! There’s a Pokémon go community day event today from 2pm to 5pm so I’m gonna go out and walk around then outside downtown to see what I can catch during it. You have a higher chance of catching shinies during it and other benefits. Plus it gets me out and walking a lot

This was like barely able to walk and in severe pain and tingling throughout my body. My pharamacist said its a reaction and to stop taking it. I'm getting another med prescribed. Hopefully just through the nurses line and I don't have to go anywhere.

I called the nurses or doctors line or whatever. He told me to stop taking the antibiotic and to hydrate myself and he is sending in another one into the pharamacy.

But man this pain sucks.

He said its an allergic reaction so I'm just in bed waiting for it to pass. I haven't taken any anxiety meds so I feel ok mental health wise.

Back to Lume. I just checked the website.
Possible trigger:

Re new scrip. Was this a dr that knows you? This sounds like a kidney infection, not just a uti, in which case you really need the ER.

Allergic reaction usually means you cant breathe. Dont eff around.
Thanks for this!

They did the quick UTI test in the office then sent it off to the lab for the full panel thing to see if anything else was up. So I should get those results today. I can breathe fine I'm just incredibly achy.

I have another med I'm allergic to that makes me itch like a dog.

And I can't take amoxicillan because it gives me bad mental health symptoms.

I slept well last night and am having a decent day other than some PMS nausea. I've been pretty busy: took a walk, showered, read with the lamp. I cut up onion, diced garlic, and sauteed sausage for a 15 bean soup I'm making this evening, a bit heavy for the weather but I have the ingredients & need to use them. I did a painting of a cheesecake that turned out pretty well. I'm experimenting with various water color techniques painting on wet, dry, half-dry, putting down drops of paint on dry vs. wet, highlighting, etc., and I'm having fun with it I went to the pharmacy to pickup prescriptions, and boy, the person in front of me should have just gone inside! I was in the drive-thru for over 20 min. and usually you zip through in 5 min. or maybe just a bit more. I'm going to have lunch, read a bit, maybe stream a show on TV.

@Blue_Bird I feel you with the litter! I really need to vacuum in my garage for just that reason! @Nammu - I'm sorry you're still low @LadyShadow 6 hr on the phone is a lot! I'm not sure I've ever had a phone conversation that long! (((HUGS))) to everyone else. Hopefully lunch will help with this nausea.

I’m still at Starbucks! My buddy was here. We had a good conversation. Now I think I need to finish my coffee and go home and get some lunch!

Haven’t you heard of the new depression treatment “perineum sunning”? I don’t know about it being a “treatment” like meds or ECT, but it sounds like a hell of a coping skill.
