I found out yesterday that fibro can cause rashes. I'm going to the dermatologist on Tues. to see if my rashes could be caused by it. I don't know what they do for it, but a dose of steriods would be lovely. I itch and don't mean to scratch, but I do. Also, I am having problems breathing. I'm wheezing. I go to the doctor this Thurs. for that. I hope she can do something. Then next Thurs., it's back to the dentist for more tooth removal. Aaack!!

It's scary. I know you'll understand.
Hi Jan, yes I have lots of other stuff that goes along with fibro. psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, IBS, and many others, including all kinds of allergies and sensitivities,
there are so many things that are part of the syndrome that it is hard to keep track.
You could google 'classic fybromyalgia' and come up with great long lists of things associated with the disease.

I'm here!!! Sorry!
Was low on data for my phone, sleeping all day from Cymbalta, then started feeling a bit better emotionally and was trying to be sort of social.
I actually even met a man. Which is shocking for me because there's nothing I wanted less than a relationship!

Currently got the flu and feel like I've been hit by a train, emotionally feeling the most positive I have in a long time.

Will try to check in more once I'm feeling a bit better!

I am tired, beat, exhausted and hurting. I have my second appt at the pain clinic on Thursday and I hope that there is the making of a treatment plan and the Quest can begin to find something(s) that will drop my pain if even just a tiny amount.

Gentle hugs everyone , Be kind to yourself !!!

While in Florida rescuing a friend I took an afternoon and I went with my daughter for a Mani pedi and it felt glorious !

When do you last do something nice for yourself?

So I got my Tens unit today. We went over my Xray results, there is Osteo Arthritis and spinal stenosis along with my Fibro ( oh joy) .

She gave me 8 injections in my neck and upper back that were Lidocaine and Toradol pain med mix, I sure hope they are helpful.

They will determine if we try a IV Lidocaine infusion or a Ketamine IV infusions first. The both are showing good results, as apparently this is the only place in Tennessee that is doing these specific infusions.

So yeah.. I am hoping for some relief, any would be a blessing!

Gentle hugs to everyone!

Hi all - been in and out. dealing with migraines daily. Considering doing back on DOPEamax but it makes it really hard to teach... I might not have a choice. Sitting last night at a stop light with my eyes closed against the light and brakelight of the car in front, and still having to put my hand over my eyes.... i'm running out of options.
am frustrated. but I also know I have a lot to be grateful for.
concern and support for and to you all!

LettinGo, I'm so sorry you have to have surgery. Please keep us posted on what's happening.

Christina, I too, have spinal stenosis and OA. I had those shots and they worked great. Unfortunately the Dr. who was qualified to do that left the state so I have no one who can help me with that now. I think you will see wonderful results.

I have had a horrible anaphalactic type allergic reaction to my new bp medicine. I am on emergency meds to reduce the swelling, itching and to help me breathe. However, my EKG came back just fine and on Tues. my brother drives me to the imaging center to get X-rays to see if there is fluid in my lungs. I don't think there is.

Meanwhile, my dear friend came last night and helped me deep clean my apartment for an inspection on Monday. What a good friend!

Holy cow, I don't check the thread for a few days and there's two pages of posts to catch up on!

I'm afraid if I try to respond to folks individually I'll miss someone. Sorry in advance if I miss you.

Jan and Christia were the shots you got for fibro or the OA?

LettinGO, best of luck with your surgery hon. I hope it doesn't cause a flare.

Jan, I never heard that fibro can cause rashes. Might explain something that's been going on with me. I think it's too late, but I'm willing to be a pocket rider if you still need 'em.

Bubbles&Buttercups, good to see you. We were worried.

Kiya, hope the migraine is gone.

Cakeladie, did you get some sleep?

Again, sorry if I missed anyone.

Skin crawling again last night.. Itchy, painful to touch anywhere. I thought I had nits (thankfully I don't). I feel like I have been dragged through a forest, both mentally and physically .. There are better times ahead, for all of us!!

Welcome to the forum, Pierro. I hope you'll like it here.

Liz, the shots were for the OA and spinal stenosis, because I had not been dx'd with fibro at the time. Looking back, I'm sure it helped the fibro. I was to the point I had to hire my neighbor to carry my groceries in the apartment, and I was like a new person afterwards.
