MFP calories 1,178. Apple Watch steps 4,236.
Water intake 67.6oz

Hello everyone it’s finally Friday!!!

@Starrysky -Thank you, yes yesterday May 17th was my birthday and my 12 year old daughter’s as well.

It was pretty hot outside today so we ran a few errands and came back home.

My complex has a pretty nice gym. Me and my daughter were doing pretty good going. I got sick during winter and it seemed to take me a while to get better. After that I seem to have a hard time getting motivated to go back to the gym. Maybe over the summer we can get back in there. **Fingers crossed**

Woowoowoo! Tgif!

Ok so, there is a tiny little gym in my apartment complex too. Kinda embarrassing I forgot. But I'm so happy your post reminded me, too! I can work out there until the gym renewal next week.

Keepin my fingers crossed for you!
Thanks for this!

Good luck! It's great that the two of you went. I find that having someone else to go with really helps me.

I often work with sheep. But the sheep don't work with me. (rimshot) (sorry)

Actually, they're not bad once you understand their thoughts and behavior. But shearing and medical attention does still tend to require handling rather than shushing or rattling the grain bucket. Unfortunately it's not great exercise. It's more just tiring.

But you get covered in their oily lanolin, so your hands are soft.

Tue: I don't remember Maybe nothing? Shrug.

Wed: Rowing, the usual half-hour

Thu: Plyoga class: cardio went well, side plank with leg moves -- um, no

Fri: some legs and core for about 20-30 minutes, including side plank

Sat (today): more rowing, turned up the resistance a little to work upper body a bit more

I love this so much.

I only work with sheep when I'm knitting with wool (rimshot?) (probably not - poor joke alert)

I used the treadmill at my apartment complex gym today. I also went to last day of physical therapy today. And did my PT exercises separately at home as well.

I am wanting to eat less sugar. Does anyone have any pointers or book recommendations? Actually, I think Coco, you had recommended something to me before. A book. What was it called? I'm not cutting sugar out completely. Just actual sweets, and upping my veggie (and fruit) intake.
Thanks for this!

Daily Exercise

This is the book I ordered off EBay. There are others available but this one worked for me. I checked out the reviews and make my decision.

Thank you Coco!

Were you also telling me about a book about cutting out sugar?

Edit: Nevermind, I think it was Whole 30!

Yes that is Whole 30. I had a friend do that plan.

I purchased a few clothes for summer about two weeks ago. I think I picked the wrong size. There actually too big for me. The tops are fine but the pants are what’s too big. I hate taking things back. I have an aunt that has a birthday next month. I’ll just give both pair to her. Then go purchase the correct size for me.

I just couldn't work up the motivation yesterday to stop doing other things and do any workout stuff.

So I sat the dog on the screened porch and said, "Today we're exercising outside and we *will* do those planks!"

The dog not only didn't do plank -- she tried to get underneath me while I was trying to do mine.

Not surprisingly, that didn't help.

Did some light all-around strength stuff: legs, arms, chest, back, and concentrated on a variety of that dreaded core stuff.

Fairly light stuff at this point. Used dumbbells for some things and plain old gravity for most others.

It was a lovely day.
Thanks for this!

I went on a birding walk today. I do not consider this exercise and I saw no birds, lol. Heard many, though.

I'm not getting my gym membership until June. I will have the money to pay for it then. In the meantime I'll walk, do my exercises in my house, and go to the small gym in my apt. complex.
Thanks for this!

It's been spotty lately.

Fri: no exercise

Sat: cardio

Sun: no exercise

Mon: easy class today

I got some other anxiety provoking stuff done, which is good. I need to keep up more on the workouts.

At least I always managed to walk the dog.

My brother is going completely no sugar. He's making his own meals and everything. For 50 days. That sounds manageable. I'm not doing that (however I would like to change my diet so I'm eating better, and much less sweets n junk). But I'm so inspired and eating much more veggies instead of sugar. My brother said that he knows that when he is craving sugar, he is actually craving the nutrients of healthy foods. This made so much sense to me!! I've been saying it to myself, and making healthier choices when I eat. He also says sugar is addictive, which I know.

Exercise. I totally haven't been. I am waiting until June to get back to the gym. Its so hot out (I have no AC in my car), and I never seem to want to drive over to the complex that has the gym. Perhaps I will today. Will post if I do.
